Wednesday television is bringing romance, mysteries, medical emergencies and enough questionable decisions to keep viewers entertained all night. Netflix welcomes Love Is Blind back for Season 11, FX's The Lowdown returns with Ethan Hawke, and NBC continues its One Chicago lineup with new episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.

Streaming has several major premieres, including Season 3 of Helluva Boss on Prime Video and a new romance starring Margaret Qualley. Meanwhile, Survivor and The Amazing Race continue on CBS, The Ark wraps its third season, and Comedy Central is bringing back two animated favorites.

There's also a new NOVA documentary series, a special Nature adventure featuring the Sesame Street gang, and a baseball postseason matchup with major championship implications. Wednesday is giving viewers plenty of reasons to stay home.

TV Cave Top Pick: The Lowdown

Our Top Pick goes to The Lowdown, returning for Season 2 at 9 PM ET on FX and Hulu with two episodes.

Ethan Hawke reprises his role as Lee Raybon, the Tulsa-based citizen journalist whose determination to expose corruption frequently lands him in situations that would make most people reconsider their career choices. Lee has never been particularly interested in minding his own business, and Season 2 isn't about to change that.

The new season introduces Tommy Lee Jones as Lee's estranged father, Lee Raybon Sr., while Betty Gilpin joins the cast as Ginger, a public defender whose latest case draws Lee into another dangerous investigation. Their involvement promises to complicate an already messy situation, especially when Lee's personal life begins colliding with his professional obsession.

Created by Sterlin Harjo, The Lowdown combines crime, mystery and dark comedy with a lead character who can be brilliant one minute and spectacularly reckless the next. Hawke's performance gives the series its personality, and adding Jones to the family drama should make things even more interesting.

Lee might be good at uncovering other people's secrets, but handling his own family baggage? That's another investigation entirely.

‘Love Is Blind’ Heads to Boston for Season 11

Netflix's wildly popular dating experiment returns today with five new episodes, bringing another group of hopeful singles into the pods.

This time, the search for love moves to Boston, where 30 singles are hoping to find their future spouses without seeing the people they're dating. Nick and Vanessa Lachey return as hosts, guiding contestants through the unusual process of forming emotional connections before deciding whether they're ready to get engaged.

Of course, anyone who has watched Love Is Blind knows that getting engaged is usually the easy part. The real complications begin when couples meet face-to-face, discover each other's living habits and realize that agreeing on marriage doesn't necessarily mean agreeing on anything else.

Season 11 begins with five episodes, followed by additional installments on October 21 and October 28. The finale arrives November 4, giving viewers several weeks to debate which relationships might survive outside the pods.

‘Chicago Med,’ ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago P.D.’ Continue on NBC

NBC's Wednesday lineup is back in full swing following last week's season premieres, with three new episodes taking viewers across Chicago's hospitals, firehouses and police investigations.

Chicago Med begins at 8 PM with “Third Rails,” as the emergency department treats patients injured while subway surfing. Charles also investigates a mysterious medical situation, adding another complicated case to an already busy hospital.

At 9 PM, Chicago Fire continues Season 15 with “Rattle the Cage.” Violet and Novak begin questioning what's happening at a mental health facility, while Severide faces increasing pressure from headquarters. Firehouse 51 has never been particularly good at avoiding workplace complications, and the new season is keeping that tradition alive.

Chicago P.D. closes the evening at 10 PM with “Don't Blink,” an episode centered on a major turning point in Atwater's life. A difficult decision about his future could have significant consequences, making this an especially important installment for longtime viewers invested in his character.

‘Survivor’ and ‘The Amazing Race’ Keep the Competition Going

CBS continues its Wednesday reality lineup with Survivor at 8 PM, followed by The Amazing Race at 9:30 PM.

Season 51 of Survivor continues with “That's the Magic of Survivor,” as shifting alliances and unresolved tensions threaten to create more problems at Tribal Council. With players increasingly aware of how quickly the game can change, loyalty is becoming a considerably more complicated concept.

Meanwhile, The Amazing Race continues Season 39 with “Deception and Sleight of Hand.” The remaining teams navigate unfamiliar streets and confusing routes as they compete to stay ahead of the competition. Between the physical challenges, strategic decisions and occasional navigational disasters, CBS has two very different competitions delivering the same reminder: having a plan is great until everything goes wrong.

‘Helluva Boss’ Returns While Prime Video Gets Romantic

Prime Video premieres Season 3 of Helluva Boss today, releasing the first three episodes of the animated comedy.

Blitzo and the employees of I.M.P. return for more supernatural chaos, complicated relationships and dangerous assignments. The new season continues exploring Blitzo's connection with Stolas while introducing additional problems for the rest of the team.

The series has developed a passionate following through its combination of adult humor, musical performances and surprisingly emotional storytelling. Its characters might live in Hell, but their relationship problems remain painfully familiar.

Prime Video also premieres Love of Your Life, starring Margaret Qualley and Gabriel Basso.

Directed by Rachel Morrison, the romantic drama follows Maya, a woman whose unexpected connection with Charlie changes the direction of her life. When circumstances disrupt the future she imagined, Maya must figure out how to move forward and what love means after experiencing profound change. The film also features Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Catherine Keener, giving Prime Video another notable addition to Wednesday's streaming lineup.

‘The Ark’ Ends Season 3 as ‘South Park’ and ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ Return

Science fiction fans have a major finale tonight as The Ark concludes Season 3 at 10 PM ET on SYFY.

In “We Can't Save Everyone,” Garnet embarks on a rescue mission while the crew faces a dangerous threat to Homebase. After a season filled with uncertainty, difficult decisions and increasingly complicated survival challenges, the finale puts everything the characters have fought to protect at risk.

Comedy Central is taking a very different approach to Wednesday night with new episodes of South Park and Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head. South Park continues Season 29 at 10 PM, followed by the Season 4 premiere of Beavis and Butt-Head at 10:30 PM. Mike Judge's famously clueless duo returns for another round of ridiculous adventures, proving that some characters really don't need personal growth to remain entertaining.

PBS Brings Science and a Little Sesame Street Magic

PBS has two notable premieres tonight, beginning with Season 45 of Nature at 8 PM.

The season opens with Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure, featuring Elmo, Abby and Nina traveling to Kenya to learn about orphaned elephants and wildlife conservation. The special introduces younger viewers to the importance of protecting animals while giving longtime Sesame Street fans another opportunity to enjoy the beloved characters.

At 9 PM, NOVA premieres Evolution, a five-part documentary series exploring the history of life on Earth. The series examines how life developed over billions of years, tracing the biological changes that eventually produced the extraordinary diversity of plants and animals we see today. It's an ambitious subject, but one that offers a fascinating alternative to Wednesday's scripted dramas and reality competitions.

Baseball's Postseason Continues

The Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers meet for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series at 8 PM ET on FS1.

Milwaukee enters the game leading the series 2-0, putting Los Angeles in a difficult position as the matchup shifts to Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers will be looking to regain momentum, while the Brewers have an opportunity to move within one victory of reaching the World Series. With so much riding on the outcome, baseball fans have a major live event competing against Wednesday's television premieres.

Between Love Is Blind, The Lowdown, the One Chicago dramas and The Ark finale, Wednesday has an impressive lineup. The Lowdown gets our Top Pick, but whether viewers prefer romance, mysteries, animation or high-stakes competition, there's plenty worth adding to the watchlist.
