Summer House Shakeup: Why West Wilson Exits the Hamptons Share House for Good
Grab your Loverboy and take a seat, Bravo fans, because the Hamptons sandbox just lost one of its most controversial players. Production insiders have confirmed that West Wilson exits Summer House ahead of Season 11. After three seasons of going from the charming new kid on the block to the ultimate villain in the hot seat, West will not have his contract renewed for the upcoming summer shoot. Whew, what a downward spiral it has been.
When West first rolled into the house back in Season 8, we were all rooting for him. He had that disarming, regular-guy energy that the show desperately needed. His burgeoning romance with Ciara Miller gave us pure rom-com vibes. We really thought he was different.
Fast forward through a grueling Season 10, and the golden boy veneer completely shattered. The ultimate betrayal arrived when rumors turned into reality: West is now officially dating Amanda Batula following her split from Kyle Cooke. Chile, whatever.
The Season 10 reunion was less of a recap and more of a public execution for West's reputation. Watching him sit there with a stoic, detached expression while Ciara and Kyle demanded answers was genuinely wild. He later claimed his lack of emotion was courtesy of a beta blocker, but viewers and castmates weren’t buying the medical excuse.
Lindsay Hubbard publicly dragged him for letting Amanda fight their battles solo, and honestly, she had a point. Kyle Cooke summarized the group's collective disgust by noting that West navigating a romance with his ex-wife felt like a massive violation of bro-code. Bravo executives seemingly agreed that the group dynamic was too fractured to repair. Keeping West in the house over the July 4th holiday weekend would make production completely unworkable.
While West might pop up in a mandatory, awkward cameo to wrap up his loose ends, his days of sharing a digital key to the Hamptons mansion are over. The fallout from this messy romantic musical chairs will be the main event when the cameras start rolling next month.
