Another week of daytime drama is ready to clock in, and apparently nobody came to work intending to have a peaceful five days. General Hospital, Beyond the Gates, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless are all loading up on secrets, confrontations, unexpected news and enough relationship drama to make “mind your business” completely impossible.

From Lily facing an unexpected health concern in Genoa City to Hayley getting caught off guard in Fairmont Crest, the week of October 5–9 promises plenty of movement. Port Charles has Sonny, Carly and Jason all dealing with problems of their own, while Salem has several couples discovering that romance rarely comes without complications.

Here’s what’s ahead across the soaps.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny, Carly and Jason Are All in the Hot Seat

Monday gets things moving quickly in Port Charles when Sonny challenges Justine while Josslyn decides she isn’t waiting around for someone else to handle a situation and takes matters into her own hands. Britt and Willow finally have a discussion that gets straight to the heart of things, but Jason isn’t getting off quite so easily when someone takes him to task. Meanwhile, Serena lands herself in a difficult situation that could become another headache altogether.

Tuesday brings potentially important news when Felicia has an update for Anna. Brook Lynn confides in Valentin, while Hudson attempts to calm Josslyn down after whatever has her worked up. Lulu makes a daring move, and Willow and Chase have a conversation about his marriage that could prove especially interesting considering everything already surrounding their respective lives.

By Wednesday, Carly needs something from Anna and isn’t afraid to ask. Tracy has to bite her tongue around Gio — which, for Tracy, may qualify as an Olympic event — while Drew and Alexis go at it. Scout tries playing peacemaker between Danny and Rocco, and Lulu continues following a lead as she searches for answers.

Thursday puts Carly firmly in Sonny’s corner, while one of Lulu’s latest articles causes a stir. Ava presents Drew with a new target, Curtis receives a shock, and Chase throws down the gauntlet, suggesting that at least one Port Charles conflict is about to become much harder to ignore.

The week closes Friday with Britt offering someone a lifeline and Anna putting her expertise to work. Sonny takes time to reassure Gio, Portia makes her loyalties unmistakably clear, and Dante runs into a roadblock with his investigation. Port Charles rarely lets anyone head into the weekend peacefully, so naturally there are still questions hanging in the air.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Trouble Keeps Finding the Duprees and Their Neighbors

Over in Fairmont Crest, Monday starts with Anita hearing disturbing news from Vernon, while Dani gets the cold shoulder. Bill isn’t interested in going down quietly and vows to put up a fight, Nicole offers Deanna a reality check, and Vanessa finds herself sidestepping some uncomfortable questions.

Martin and Smitty are enjoying a full house, while Jacob and Naomi appear to be getting on the same page about their priorities. Tyrell, however, drops a bombshell on his family, immediately giving everyone something new to worry about.

On Tuesday, Anita and Dani share an update that leaves Nicole blindsided. Vernon puts Bill on notice, while Hayley scores a major victory — but this is Beyond the Gates, so of course that win comes with a price attached. Leslie defends her actions, Jacob confronts Izaiah, Kat’s bold words leave Eva shaken and Chelsea delivers an important warning.

Wednesday finds Vernon stepping in to save the day while Dani puts pressure on Bill. Andre lands in trouble with Ted, and Hayley is caught completely off guard. Eva confronts the future while Izaiah is distracted, Leslie remains committed to stirring the pot, and Marcel and Joey put their powers of persuasion to work.

Thursday forces Andre to dig into Dani’s past. Anita finds comfort through music, Nicole opens up honestly to Vanessa, and the chaos surrounding Ted and Ashley continues. Leslie leaves Hayley scrambling, Randy grows tired of what’s happening around him, and Noah gives Deanna another way of looking at things.

By Friday, Vernon has an ugly truth to share with Anita, while Nicole follows through on a promise. Naomi refuses to back down, Madison turns her attention toward Chelsea after taking a major risk, and Smitty draws a firm line with Martin. Vanessa and Joey hear Heather out, and Ted’s trip with Shanice appears destined to be memorable — which on this show can mean about twelve different things, very few of them relaxing.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Salem Has Romance Problems Everywhere

Monday in Salem finds Joy uncertain about what her future holds, while Alex surprises Stephanie. Chanel stands by Johnny as he wrestles with a difficult decision, and Kate comes up with a plan to help Maggie. It’s one of those Days Mondays where everybody seems to be standing at some kind of crossroads.

Rachel leaves Brady uneasy on Tuesday, while Roman catches Kate off guard. Theo agrees to help Gabi, and Philip begins working on a plan of his own. Considering this is Salem, the real question is whether any of these plans will survive long enough to actually work.

Things get increasingly romantic — and increasingly complicated — Wednesday when Sarah and Tate threaten to derail Joy’s plans. Jada and Shawn share a romantic moment together, while Leo’s good day takes an unfortunate turn. EJ confronts Rita about Dominic, and Brady finds himself forced to make another difficult decision.

Thursday brings a surprise for Sydney courtesy of Dante, while Paulina refuses to abandon Lani. Chanel asks Johnny to make her a promise, Marlena delivers a startling confession to Belle, and Jada starts pressing EJ for answers. Between promises, confessions and questions, Salem is apparently allergic to casual conversation this week.

Friday closes things out with Joy unhappy about the discharge orders Kayla gives her. Stephanie and Alex manage to steal a private moment together, Belle turns to Chad for help, and Steve receives troubling news from Johnny. Kristen also finds Sophia, potentially setting the stage for yet another storyline to take a turn.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily Faces a Scare as Phyllis and Sharon Make a Pact

Genoa City begins the week with Victor doing what Victor does best: keeping his strategy close to the vest. This time his goal is protecting Nick, but there are bigger concerns elsewhere when Lily struggles with an unexpected health issue. Meanwhile, Phyllis seals the deal on something that could become increasingly important as the week unfolds.

Victor makes good on a promise to Phyllis Tuesday, while Nikki interrogates Nick. Sharon, meanwhile, attempts to make a fresh start. Whether Genoa City actually allows anybody to start fresh without dragging three decades of baggage behind them is another question entirely.

Wednesday delivers one of the week’s more intriguing developments when Phyllis and Sharon form a pact. Matt Clark is in for a rude awakening, while Audra hands Adam and Billy an ultimatum. Considering the personalities involved in that particular triangle of trouble, compliance probably isn’t going to come easily.

Billy finds himself firmly in the hot seat Thursday, while Sally’s bachelorette party gets an unexpected interruption from a surprise guest. Nothing says “wedding festivities” in Genoa City quite like somebody arriving who probably wasn’t on the seating chart.

Friday brings the focus back to Lily when Cane pushes her to come clean. Audra and Chelsea are forced to put their differences aside, while Billy and Sally’s relationship faces another test. With Sally’s wedding plans moving forward and Billy seemingly attracting trouble from every direction, the road toward “I do” is looking anything but smooth.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Carter Shocks Daphne as Will Draws a Line

Los Angeles is bringing its own share of complications this week. Monday finds Will opening up to Wyatt while Daphne is completely caught off guard by surprising news from Carter. By Tuesday, Daphne wants answers about why she was kept in the dark, while Electra is eager to prove herself. Wednesday turns the focus back to Will when he draws a hard line with Katie, and R.J. and Electra make it clear to Zende that they see him as an important part of the team. Thursday brings more tension when Electra overhears a private conversation involving Dylan and does not take it well, while Eric and Ridge prepare to throw their support behind the new Electra line. The week wraps Friday with Zende put on the spot and Katie and Hope feeling optimistic about the Logans’ next move. In other words, Forrester Creations is once again proving that fashion may be the business, but drama is still the real family brand.

It’s Going to Be a Busy Week in Daytime

All four soaps are giving viewers plenty to keep an eye on this week, but several stories look particularly ready to shift gears. Lily’s health concern immediately raises questions on The Young and the Restless, while the Phyllis-Sharon alliance is the kind of combination that deserves attention all by itself.

On Beyond the Gates, Hayley’s costly victory and the secrets surrounding the Duprees continue pushing multiple stories forward. General Hospital has investigations, alliances and confrontations colliding throughout Port Charles, while Days of Our Lives continues putting its characters through the relationship wringer.

In other words, nobody is getting an easy week. And would we really want them to?
