Victor Newman Is Coming to Fairmont Crest and Beyond the Gates Will Never Be the Same

Somebody better warn the Duprees. Victor Newman is on his way.
Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless are colliding this June in a multi-episode event and the names attached to this thing are enough to make any soap fan drop everything and pay attention. Six of Genoa City's most powerful residents are leaving town and heading straight to Fairmont Crest, and frankly, Fairmont Crest will not be the same when they leave. Thanks to TVLine, we have our first look.
The Guest List Is Sending Us
The players showing up is chef's kiss. Eric Braeden is coming as Victor Newman. Peter Bergman is coming as Jack Abbott. Bryton James is back as Devon Hamilton, Melissa Ordway as Abby Newman, Michael Mealor as Kyle Abbott, and Susan Walters as Diane Jenkins. CBS really looked at the Beyond the Gates audience and said yes, you deserve all of this and we are here for that energy entirely. Doesn't this remind you of days yesterday past when the ABC soaps would all do crossovers. You would see John McBain in Pine Valley with Kendall Hart.
So why are so many traveling from Genoa City to the Gates in the first place? A political fundraiser at Fairmont Crest is taking place where Vernon Dupree and Victor Newman reunite as the old friends and powerful allies they have always been. Victor spent years backing Vernon's political campaigns while Vernon turned around and championed legislation that kept Newman Enterprises thriving. These two have history and Clifton Davis already teased that watching him and Eric Braeden share the screen together as two old men is, in his words, a little bit of magic. Sir, we believe you completely. Tying these two worlds together makes perfect sense.
This isn't the first crossover however as last year Bryton James brought Devon Hamilton through those gates for the first soap crossover and before that Thorsten Kaye showed up as Ridge Forrester from The Bold and the Beautiful. Executive producer Sheila Ducksworth put it perfectly when she described the crossover as bringing the Newmans and the Abbotts together with the Dupree patriarch and matriarch.
The June episodes air on CBS and stream on Paramount+, so there is genuinely no excuse to miss this one.
