The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 premiere dropped us right back into the madness with a scenic trip across the pond that quickly turned into a nautical nightmare. Titled “Costa da Morte,” this episode is a must-watch and sets the tone for what promises to be another chaotic, undead-filled adventure.
London Calling and Chaos Ensues
The episode kicks off with Daryl and Carol enjoying some surprisingly picturesque views of London. Naturally, that peace lasts about five seconds before they’re trapped in a fancy flat full of walkers. Enter Julian, played by Stephen Merchant, who calls himself the last Englishman in England. He’s charming, a little awkward, and has a boat. Jackpot, right?
Setting Sail for Disaster
Daryl and Carol convince Julian to sail them back to America. Unfortunately, no one on board knows the first thing about navigating open water. Shocking no one, a storm hits, Julian gets knocked out, and by the time the sun comes up, he’s not only dead but undead. So much for smooth sailing.
Surprise We’re in Spain
Carol wakes up and immediately realizes they are definitely not in Maine. Instead, they’ve washed ashore in Spain where things only get weirder. Think bull-horn masked riders, booby-trapped beaches, and enough undead party decorations hanging from nets to ruin anyone’s day. Also, Carol gets stabbed and Daryl performs amateur surgery because of course he does.
The Mysterious Disappearance
After one long night in yet another random shack, Carol hears children laughing. Daryl heads off to hunt and stumbles upon a jeep full of what may or may not be enemies. By the time he returns, Carol is gone. Again.
Final Thoughts on the Daryl Dixon Season 3 Premiere
The Season 3 premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is weird, wild, and full of WTF moments. Between the British humor, Mediterranean misfires, and Carol’s vanishing act, this episode throws you into the deep end fast. If this is how the season starts, we’re in for one hell of a ride.
