‘The Terminal List’ Season 2 Finally Arrives and James Reece Is Far From Finished

Chris Pratt is back as James Reece, and anyone hoping the former Navy SEAL has settled into a quiet life should probably reconsider. After more than four years away, The Terminal List returns to Prime Video on Wednesday, October 21, with a second season that takes its already dangerous leading man into an even bigger international conspiracy.
Because what do you do after completing a revenge mission that nearly destroys everything around you? If you're James Reece, you apparently find another situation where people are trying to kill you. Some men take up golf, while Reece prefers taking on global threats that come with a considerably higher chance of getting shot.
James Reece Has a New Mission
Based on True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr's bestselling book series, Season 2 picks up after Reece has completed the revenge campaign that drove the first season. But revenge doesn't necessarily bring peace, particularly when you're one of the world's most wanted men.
The CIA eventually approaches Reece with a proposition that could give him an opportunity to clear his name. The catch? He must help stop a terrorist threat involving someone he once considered an ally, which isn't exactly the type of assignment that comes with a comfortable retirement package.
The new season expands the show's scope beyond its original revenge-thriller framework, taking the action across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Reece soon finds himself pursuing a conspiracy that connects Moscow, Langley, and disturbing questions about his own family's history.
In other words, the man barely finished one list before somebody handed him an international itinerary full of problems. And considering how much blood was spilled the first time around, we can only imagine what happens when Reece starts pulling at the threads of a conspiracy that reaches across multiple countries.
Chris Pratt Returns Alongside Familiar Faces
Pratt reprises his role as Reece, while Constance Wu returns as journalist Katie Buranek, whose involvement in exposing Reece's story has created complications of its own. Tom Hopper also joins the cast as Raife Hastings, another significant figure in Reece's increasingly dangerous world.
The new chapter builds on the larger universe established by the original series and its prequel, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. For fans who enjoy action-heavy thrillers with political conspiracies, military operations, and betrayals around every corner, there is plenty to sink their teeth into.
But the most interesting question isn't necessarily how many enemies Reece can eliminate. It's whether a man who spent so long consumed by vengeance can find a reason to live beyond it, particularly when his past keeps pulling him toward another deadly confrontation.
That's a much more complicated mission than simply crossing another name off a list, and it's one of the reasons Reece remains such an interesting character. Beneath the weapons, tactical operations, and relentless action is someone still carrying the weight of everything he's lost.
All Eight Episodes Are Available Now
Unlike shows that stretch out their suspense with weekly releases, Prime Video is dropping all eight episodes of The Terminal List Season 2 on October 21. That means fans can spend an entire day following Reece from one dangerous situation to the next without having to wait a week between cliffhangers.
And considering this man's track record, there will probably be more than enough shooting, explosions, and double-crossing to justify clearing your schedule. James Reece is back, his enemies are multiplying, and peace remains nowhere on the itinerary.
The Terminal List Season 2 is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
