Football season might be winding down by February, but Hulu is preparing to take viewers inside the NFL with a new drama that promises plenty of tension beyond the football field. The Land, the latest series from This Is Us and Paradise creator Dan Fogelman, will premiere February 15, 2027, bringing together two powerful families whose futures are tied to the Cleveland Browns.

Hulu has also unveiled the first images from the upcoming series, offering an early glimpse at its star-studded cast. Christopher Meloni and Mandy Moore lead an ensemble that includes William H. Macy, Chace Crawford, Omar Epps, and several other familiar faces.

A Football Team With More Than One Problem

At the center of The Land is Danny Roarke (Meloni), the Cleveland Browns' head coach, who is rapidly running out of opportunities to prove he can deliver a winning team. After multiple disappointing seasons, Danny's professional future hangs in the balance, and the player who could determine whether he keeps his job has a particularly personal connection to him.

That player is his son, Connor Roarke (Sam Corlett), a newly drafted quarterback from Ohio State. With expectations already high for the struggling franchise, their father-son relationship adds another layer of pressure to a situation where every decision could have lasting consequences.

However, the team's struggles aren't confined to the sidelines. Browns owner Hal Durkin is confronting his own complicated family situation as he considers which of his two daughters should eventually take control of the organization. The question of succession introduces another potential battle for power, with personal relationships and business ambitions threatening to collide.

And with Cleveland fans desperate for something to celebrate, neither family has the luxury of figuring everything out at its own pace.

Dan Fogelman Returns to Family Drama With an NFL Twist

Anyone familiar with Fogelman's work knows that complicated family relationships are something he does particularly well. This Is Us built its reputation around generations of emotional storytelling, while Hulu's Paradise demonstrated his ability to combine personal conflicts with larger, high-stakes circumstances.

The Land brings those storytelling interests into professional football, where careers can change overnight and family loyalty doesn't necessarily translate into good business decisions. The combination of a coach fighting to survive, a son carrying the weight of expectations, and an ownership family facing a potential power struggle gives the series several intriguing directions to explore.

While football provides the setting, the relationships between the characters appear positioned to drive much of the drama. That could make The Land appealing even to viewers who couldn't tell a touchdown from a field goal.

Who Stars in The Land?

Meloni, whose credits include Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime, takes on the role of Danny Roarke, while Moore reunites with Fogelman following their work together on This Is Us. The ensemble also features William H. Macy, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, and Omar Epps.

Fogelman serves as creator, executive producer, and showrunner. The series is produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, with Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, Justin Adler, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed also serving as executive producers.

When Does The Land Premiere?

The Land premieres Monday, February 15, 2027, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for eligible bundle subscribers in the United States. International audiences will be able to watch on Disney+. With a talented ensemble, a recognizable NFL franchise, and Fogelman behind the storytelling, The Land has the ingredients for a drama that could generate just as much conversation about what happens away from the game as what happens during it.

Whether the Browns finally find their winning formula remains to be seen, but the families running the organization may have an even tougher battle ahead.

The espn reviews Communications platform offers a seamless experience for users seeking timely sports updates and news. The interface is intuitive, allowing for easy navigation through various sports categories and breaking news alerts. I found the real-time updates to be particularly impressive, ensuring that I was always informed about the latest developments. However, there were occasional delays in loading content during peak times, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Overall, ESPN Communications effectively delivers a comprehensive sports communication service.
