The Hunting Wives Season 2 Trailer Teases More Sex, Lies and Murder

Two women smile in a rustic wood-paneled cabin bar, one in a patterned dress and one in a gold dress.

Some women get together for brunch, book clubs, and the occasional glass of wine. The ladies of The Hunting Wives prefer affairs, blackmail, murder, and enough scandal to make an entire Texas town reconsider its definition of respectable society. And judging by the newly released Season 2 trailer, absolutely nobody has learned a thing.

Netflix dropped the official trailer on October 20, giving fans another deliciously chaotic look at the return of Brittany Snow as Sophie O'Neil and Malin Åkerman as Margo Banks. The second season premieres Thursday, November 26, 2026, because what better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than watching wealthy women destroy each other's lives while pretending they're the picture of Southern sophistication?

Forget passing the mashed potatoes. These women are serving betrayal, obsession, and enough questionable decisions to keep Maple Brook's therapists booked through Christmas.

Sophie and Margo Are Back to Their Toxic Little Games

When we last left Sophie and Margo, their relationship had become a tangled disaster of lust, manipulation, secrets, and murder. Sophie arrived in Texas hoping for a fresh start, only to find herself pulled into Margo's seductive world of wealthy housewives who treat other people's marriages like optional suggestions.

And if Sophie thought she could finally escape Margo's influence, the Season 2 trailer suggests she's about to learn that some bad habits are harder to break than others. The new footage finds Sophie attempting to repair her marriage to Graham (Evan Jonigkeit), with the couple attending therapy after the damage caused by her relationship with Margo. That's certainly a reasonable place to start, considering the amount of emotional wreckage Sophie has left behind.

Unfortunately, Margo doesn't appear particularly interested in respecting anyone's boundaries, and Sophie still seems incapable of resisting her. The trailer even features the two sharing a steamy bathtub scene, which tells us everything we need to know about how well this whole moving-on situation is going.

At this point, Sophie could probably move to another continent, change her name, and join a monastery, and Margo would still find a way to show up looking fabulous with a glass of champagne and another terrible idea.

Murder, Blackmail, and a Whole Lot of Texas Trouble

Of course, The Hunting Wives wouldn't be nearly as entertaining if the drama stopped at an inappropriate relationship. These women have practically turned criminal activity into a competitive sport, and Season 2 looks ready to raise the stakes considerably.

Following the violent events of the first season, Sophie and Margo begin the new chapter estranged from one another. But secrets have a nasty habit of resurfacing in Maple Brook, and new enemies soon force the former lovers back into each other's orbit.

The trailer teases additional violence, dangerous confrontations, and plenty of suspicious behavior from people who should probably stop talking before they incriminate themselves. Margo also continues juggling her complicated relationships, including her involvement with Brad (George Ferrier), while tensions with Callie (Jaime Ray Newman) threaten to become another explosive problem.

And let's discuss Margo for a moment, because this woman truly deserves an award for making chaos look effortless. She can manipulate someone, betray them, and somehow convince them they're the unreasonable one, all while maintaining perfect hair and an absolutely outrageous wardrobe.

Sophie, meanwhile, continues to be the person who recognizes every red flag and then proceeds to collect them like souvenirs. You almost want to shake her through the television screen, although we have to admit that her terrible judgment makes for some wonderfully addictive drama.

John Stamos, Dale Dickey, and Angel Reese Join the Madness

As if Maple Brook didn't already have enough colorful personalities, Season 2 is welcoming several new faces into its increasingly dangerous social circle. John Stamos joins the cast as an eccentric photographer, while Dale Dickey enters the picture as a member of a biker gang. WNBA star Angel Reese is also among the newcomers, adding another intriguing name to a series that clearly has no intention of keeping its world small.

Returning cast members include Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham, Jaime Ray Newman as Callie, and George Ferrier as Brad. The expanded cast should give Sophie and Margo even more opportunities to make enemies, forge questionable alliances, and discover that their carefully constructed lives are always one bad decision away from complete disaster. And with a biker gang entering the picture, something tells us the neighborhood social calendar is about to get considerably more interesting.

Netflix Already Wants More of This Delicious Mess

Here's the real surprise: Netflix isn't even waiting to see how Season 2 performs before committing to another round of scandal.

The Hunting Wives has already been renewed for Season 3, giving fans some reassurance that the next batch of episodes won't necessarily be their last visit to Maple Brook. That's particularly good news for anyone who remembers how the first season left everyone scrambling to figure out what could possibly happen next.

Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on May Cobb's novel, the series became a guilty pleasure for fans who appreciate their television dramas with a generous helping of outrageous behavior. It's glamorous, ridiculous, suspenseful, and occasionally so over-the-top that you have to wonder whether anyone in this town has ever experienced a normal Tuesday.

But that's precisely the appeal. The Hunting Wives isn't trying to convince us that Sophie and Margo are role models. It's inviting us to watch a collection of deeply flawed people make increasingly disastrous choices while wearing expensive clothes and pretending they have everything under control. And judging by the Season 2 trailer, the writers have absolutely no intention of cleaning up their behavior anytime soon.

Thanksgiving Just Got a Whole Lot Messier

Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, with the story picking up after the devastating events that left Sophie and Margo's relationship in pieces. Whether these two can actually trust each other again is anyone's guess, although trusting Margo Banks seems about as wise as leaving your valuables unattended in a room full of professional thieves.

The bigger question is whether Sophie will finally develop enough common sense to protect herself or continue getting dragged into Margo's orbit every time things start heating up. Considering what we've seen in the trailer, we're not placing any bets on personal growth.

And that's perfectly fine, because the last thing anyone wants from The Hunting Wives is eight episodes of healthy communication, responsible choices, and respectful boundaries. We came for scandal, dangerous secrets, beautiful people behaving badly, and the kind of drama that makes you grateful these women aren't your neighbors.

The Hunting Wives Season 2 premieres November 26, 2026, exclusively on Netflix. Season 1 is currently available to stream, and the series has already been renewed for Season 3.

Are you ready for Sophie and Margo's return, or have these two exhausted your patience already? And more importantly, does anybody actually believe Sophie is going to stay away from Margo this season?
