Soap Opera Spoilers May 25-29: Salem Gets Strange While Port Charles Falls Apart

Two adults sit on a beige sofa in a living room, talking seriously; the woman in a white blouse holds a wine glass.

If you thought your family barbecue was going to be tense this week, just wait until you see what the residents of daytime television are cooking up. As we head into the final days of May, the networks are delivering a heavy dose of recycled plots, questionable life choices and the kind of dramatic stares that only a soap actor can truly pull off.

Whether you are looking for long-lost kids returning from the dead or characters making the exact same mistakes for the twentieth time, the upcoming episodes have it all. Grab your favorite snack and settle in as we break down the daily soap drama heading to your television screen.

Beyond the Gates: Sci-Fi Threats and Backstage Passes

The newest addition to the daytime lineup is trying very hard to prove it can keep up with the legacy shows. The week kicks off on Monday, May 25, with a bit of a cheat day. Instead of fresh drama, viewers get a special encore episode pulling back the curtain on the show. Expect actor commentary as they relive season one affairs, shocking cons, and family secrets. It is a clip show, but at least the actors look nice.

When Tuesday rolls around, the real action starts. Bill orders Tomas to stand down, while Nicole confides her deepest fantasies to Kial. Joey decides to give Donnell exactly what he wants, and Deanna gets a literal blast from the past with a brand-new mission to accomplish. Meanwhile, Leslie spends her day worrying about the reach of a plasma ring and how it might impact her. Yes, a plasma ring. We are not sure if this is a soap opera or a space opera anymore.

The midweek slump does not exist on Wednesday. Shanice finally hands Ted her final decision regarding the future of their relationship, and Naomi tries her absolute best to help Ashley during a major time of need. Martin and Tyrell sit down for an important, overdue father-son talk, while Leslie decides to crash Garland's big press conference. To top it all off, Mona delivers a highly anticipated health update concerning Jan.

On Thursday, the town gathers together as a fallen hero is memorialized, which should bring the usual tears. Dani decides to school Bill on his very selective memory issues, and Ted gives Nicole a vote of confidence that rubs her entirely the wrong way. Plus, Madison admits to Chelsea that she is still holding out hope for a reconciliation with her family.

Friday wraps up the week with pure relationship friction. Anita and Vernon try to enjoy a night of romance, but it is abruptly interrupted by Kat and Martin. Joey wants Bill to contain a potential threat, but quickly notices Bill is totally off his game. Jacob and Naomi have a raw, honest conversation about his undercover operation and its lasting effects, and Leslie insists on making Hayley an ally, whether Hayley likes it or not.

Days of Our Lives: Salem's River Secrets and Hypnotic Havoc

Salem is doing what Salem does best: pulling things out of rivers, putting people under hypnosis, and dealing with medical results. On Monday, Philip decides to open up and get honest with Brady, while Amy is completely crushed by whatever object was just recovered from the local river. Jennifer and Jack have a long heart-to-heart talk about their children, JJ finally returns home to Salem, and Gabi and Gwen find common ground to commiserate. Sarah also tries her hardest to change Xander's mind about his latest questionable choice.

On Tuesday, Jennifer tries to keep the peace by proposing a truce to Cat, and EJ gives Johnny a much-needed update regarding Tony's latest plan. Chanel anxiously gets her biopsy results back, Xander and Sarah sit down to acknowledge some incredibly hard truths, and Alex and Joy spend some quality time together to bond.

Wednesday brings out the classic Salem weirdness. Theo steps up to comfort Paulina during a rough patch, and Marlena swings into action by hypnotizing EJ. Gabi opens up and confides some major secrets in Ari, while Tate urges Holly to stop stalling and do the right thing. To close out the day, Amy stops crying over the river find and begins planning her revenge.

On Thursday, Johnny and Chanel share a rare, hopeful moment together, but Lexie immediately ruins the mood by demanding answers from EJ. Abe admits the real truth to Theo, and Javi heads out to meet his new boyfriend Gus, but naturally runs right into Leo.

Friday brings the tissue boxes back out. Family and friends gather together to support Marlena on the anniversary of John’s passing. Belle and Brady stumble upon a major discovery, Holly shares her deep emotional struggles with Sarah, and Eli steps up to comfort Lani. Finally, Foster takes a chance and asks Julie out for dinner, proving romance never truly dies in Salem.

The Bold and the Beautiful: The Logan Feud Never Ends

The Logan family feud continues to drag on, while the younger crowd tries to navigate summer parties and workplace backstabbing. Monday starts under the sun as a warm summer soiree brings Will and Electra much closer together, while Katie demands a final answer from Hope about coming over to Logan.

On Tuesday, Brooke gets incredibly excited about the prospect of Hope’s fashion line returning to Forrester. R.J., however, is not having a good day, ending up as the unfortunate victim of a low blow from Will. Wednesday sees the return of older faces as Bill summons a mystery person from the past to help expand the Logan empire. R.J. goes running to Ridge and Steffy with a desperate plea to fire Will immediately, proving that HR departments simply do not exist in this fictional version of Los Angeles.

On Thursday, Donna finds herself stuck right in the crosshairs of the ongoing Logan family feud, and Bill’s carefully crafted plan gets completely thrown for a loop. Friday brings a mixed bag of news. Electra shares some genuinely exciting updates with Dylan, and things finally look like they are turning around for Deke. We will see how long that actually lasts.

General Hospital: Horrified Faces and Parental Visits

Port Charles is filled with classic soap staples next week: bad news, suspicious spouses, and parental visits. Monday gives the cast a holiday break, airing an encore episode. Use this time to stretch your legs or wonder why nobody ever locks their doors in Port Charles.

On Tuesday, Lulu and Dante finally come to a mutual agreement, and Carly makes a desperate plea to anyone who will listen. Kristina receives some massive news, Chase and Joe team up to pursue a fresh lead, and Sidwell decides to share a brand-new theory with Ava. Wednesday is all about checking in on people. Ric drops by to see Elizabeth, and Sonny takes a moment to offer up a few words of caution. Kai delivers some incredibly bad news to Trina, Emma steps in to console a struggling Gio, and Trina makes the rounds to pay visits to her parents.

On Thursday, Willow sees something that leaves her completely horrified, which is standard for a Thursday cliffhanger buildup. Trina opens up and shares her feelings with Gio, Michael gets suspicious about recent events, and Portia stands her ground to challenge Curtis. Molly and Cody also have their conversation abruptly interrupted.

Friday brings the high drama. Valentin pulls out all the stops for a grand romantic gesture, and Ethan accepts a brand-new mission. Molly offers up some wise, level-headed counsel, Charlotte opens up to share the truth with Carly, and Michael takes a moment to caution Brook Lynn.

The Young and the Restless: Time Travel and Leveraged Secrets

Instead of moving forward, Genoa City is taking a massive leap backward on Monday with a throwback episode originally aired on July 3, 2019. In this classic replay, Victor makes a dangerous decision, Victoria plots revenge against Phyllis, Chelsea’s past catches up to her, and romance blooms for Devon and Elena.

On Tuesday, we snap back to the present day. Victor gains some serious leverage against Phyllis, because some things never change. Billy decides he is the right person to tell Adam about Sally’s pregnancy, and Patty makes a frantic distress call regarding Jack. Wednesday hits hard as Lily suddenly sees Cane in a completely new light, and Abby makes a serious promise to Devon. Nick's life literally hangs in the balance, because no one in Genoa City can just have a normal, quiet week.

On Thursday, Victor makes a shocking decision to step in and help Nick, while Victoria goes looking for Jack’s help. Holden and Stephanie receive some major news regarding Malcolm’s current condition, and Nikki finds herself deeply haunted by her own dreams. Friday wraps up the week with family interventions. Victor and Nikki team up to force Nick to finally face his underlying issues. Phyllis decides to give Patty a much-needed history lesson, and Kyle gives Jack some highly surprising news about Diane to set up the following week.
