Rob Reiner Legendary Director and TV Icon, Dies at 78 Alongside Wife Michele Singer

Veteran filmmaker and television icon Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, were found dead Sunday afternoon at their Los Angeles home, according to reports. The deaths have prompted an active investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the case.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reportedly responded to a call at the residence at approximately 3:38 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered Reiner, 78, and Singer, 68, deceased inside the home. Officials from the LAPD soon arrived on the scene and began their investigation.
According to reports, both Reiner and Singer had knife-like lacerations on their bodies. Law enforcement has not yet released official details regarding a cause of death, possible suspects, or a motive. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not announced whether any arrests have been made. It is being reported that he couple's son Nick Reiner is being held for questioning.
Rob Reiner leaves behind an extraordinary legacy in film and television. He first became a household name portraying Michael “Meathead” Stivic on the landmark sitcom All in the Family, appearing throughout the show’s nine-season run. Reiner later transitioned into one of Hollywood’s most respected directors, helming widely acclaimed films such as The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, A Few Good Men, Stand By Me, and This Is Spinal Tap. His career also included notable on-screen appearances in television series such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, New Girl, The Good Fight, and The Bear, as well as film roles in The Wolf of Wall Street, Primary Colors, The First Wives Club, Sleepless in Seattle, and Throw Momma From the Train.
Michele Singer also worked across film and television. Her credits include work as a special photographer on Misery, acting roles such as Mixed Nuts, and producing credits on projects including Shock and Awe, Albert Brooks: Defending My Life, God & Country, and the upcoming Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.
Reiner and Singer married in 1989 and shared three children: Jake, Nick, and Romy. Reiner was also the adoptive father of Tracy Reiner, the daughter of Penny Marshall, whom he married in 1971 before their divorce in 1981.
