Elderly couple hugging on a sofa, smiling warmly. A festive Christmas tree with lights and ornaments in the background adds a cozy ambiance.

Last week on Beyond the Gates, Bill collapses and Hayley panics, Nicole flirts with moving on, Kat finally feels supported, and Leslie tries to buy herself an ally. Winterfest comes and goes with barely a whisper, leaving behind jealousy, suspicion, and one very poisoned cup of tea. Let’s get into it.

Winterfest… That’s It?

Winterfest went out with a whimper. No big climax, no lasting impact—just a big nothing burger of nada, zilch. Monday’s episode did give us Keke Wyatt’s performance, which was easily the highlight of the entire event. That, and Dani looking incredible, because of course she did.

Ashley getting to see Dani and Andre happy? Loved it. Bill glaring with jealousy from across the room? Also top tier. That man cannot stand feeling replaced.

Meanwhile, Vernon and Sharon continue to look suspicious, and with spoilers hinting at trouble surrounding Anita’s health, the writing on the wall is starting to feel a little too obvious—and honestly, annoying.

Vanessa, still deep in her Joey spiral, remains painfully desperate. However, her drunken barb aimed at Leslie was a rare and satisfying moment of clarity.

The Heat Is On

Tomas asks Kat to move in with him, and despite her very reasonable hesitation, everyone she confides in seems determined to push her toward saying yes. When Kat gently lets him down, Tomas does what Tomas does best: refuses to take the answer and pivots straight into gaslighting mode.

Thankfully, Kat finally gets a real moment of support during her heart-to-heart with Dani. Someone actually listens to her, validates her feelings, and doesn’t try to bulldoze her into a life decision. It was long overdue.

Elsewhere, Bill turns up the pressure. If Tomas wants to be a partner, he needs to settle down, and more importantly, he had better not hurt his niece. A rare moment where Bill’s protectiveness actually lands.

The Thomases

Eva and Izaiah reconnect at Winterfest… and then promptly disappear. More memorable is Eva’s continued alignment with Leslie. At Winterfest, Leslie taunts Laura, and later Eva defends her when Laura and she run into each other. Laura accidentally revealed that Marcel was hired to keep an eye on Leslie.

You already know how I feel about Leslie, and this week? I’m exhausted. Later, Leslie meets with Vanessa to discuss clinic locations. Conceptually? Fine idea. Logistically? Ridiculous. Leslie funding it solo makes zero sense and feels wildly unsustainable. If you’re going to tell the story, tell it fully—and realistically—for the love of entertainment.

Nicole… Moving On?

Let’s address the name issue. Greg Vaughan’s character is Kiall, pronounced Kyle, so Kyle it is from here on out.

His introduction was flat and forgettable, but things improved post-Winterfest. He and Daphne actually have decent chemistry, which helps. Still, spoilers reveal Carlton returning and kissing Nicole. Oop. Is Nicole about to enter her player era?

Because honestly… I wouldn’t be mad at it.

Bill Hamilton and His Killer Airhead

Bill misses the Duprees and clearly feels replaced by Andre—but that’s the least of his problems. His wife is actively trying to kill him.

Hayley ups the poison dosage in his tea, and this time it works. Bill collapses, leaving her panicked and scrambling. The big question now: has Bill caught on?

Please say yes.
