Woman testifies in a courtroom, wearing a patterned suit. Opposite her, another woman listens attentively. Background includes courtroom setting.

This week on Reasonable Doubt, the drama intensifies. A shocking truth comes to light, the defense takes its first swing, and Monica hits the stand. Let’s get into it.

Ozzie Still Spiraling

We open with Ozzie dreaming of Monica tying up Wendy, a disturbing scene that cements just how twisted their dynamic truly is. The show doesn’t shy away from showing us the sickness here, and Monica? She’s the infection.

Later, Jax and Bill visit Ozzie to discuss calling Monica to the stand. Ozzie resists, but Jax stresses it’s the only way to create reasonable doubt. Once alone, Bill warns Jax this could backfire, reminding her Monica isn’t just a witness, she’s Ozzie’s abuser. Jax stays firm, but Bill’s hesitation feels warranted.

Monica later visits Ozzie, and the conversation gets darker. When he asks if she killed Wendy, Monica admits she found a bloody sweatshirt in his room but says she “took care of it like always.” She claims she thought he was guilty but still wanted to protect him. Their scenes are chilling, he’s haunted, she’s manipulative, and the codependence is suffocating.

Ozzie’s friends—one played by Kordell Beckham, nice to see him in his acting bag—show up to party. Ozzie draws the line at hard drugs but lets them indulge in “big booties and weed.” Monica, of course, stays. When she later watches Ozzie with another woman, the moment is deeply uncomfortable and hard to shake.

Jax: Career and Family

Eddie celebrates five years of sobriety, and for a brief moment, things feel hopeful. His sponsor, Lionel, encourages him to finally tell Jax the truth, warning, "The longer you wait, the harder the break".

Meanwhile, Jax comes home to find Lewis cooking. She mentions meeting Lionel, but Lewis recalls seeing Lionel and Eddie together before, his suspicion brewing quietly.

At the firm, Jax’s partners question Bill about her behavior, noting that she doesn't like to play well with others and may not be a fit with an acquisition on the horizon, Bill is clearly thinking about his own future more than loyalty. He leaks her trial strategy, offering her up to the partners. When Jax confronts him, he lies with a straight face.

Later, Bill tries to reconcile with Kendra, but she serves him news of contacting a divorce attorney after dinner. Karma clocked in early.

On the home front, Jax convinces Lewis to have a family dinner, including his parents, whom she jokingly calls “The Huxtables.” They discuss this during therapy and decide to proceed with it. The dinner starts awkwardly but turns pleasant until Lewis learns his parents are selling their home and living separately. His jealousy over Eddie’s presence and approval simmers beneath the surface.

The Case

Daniel tails a possible witness and spots Erica meeting with him, hugging him, no less. When she’s called by the prosecution, her testimony falters.

The defense finally begins, with Monica taking the stand first. Jax played it cool to get her on the stand. She told her it was in Ozzie's best interest, but when she gets her on the stand, she exposes her as Ozzie’s abuser. It’s bold, brutal, and brilliant. Monica later threatens Jax, while Ozzie tells her he’s done with her. Whether that’s true… we'll see. Will Monica come back with a vengeance?

The Weekly Cliffhanger

Lewis had agreed to drop the private investigation into Eddie, but Daniel digs up something huge and calls with the update. Lewis brings Eddie over, and when Jax walks in, they tell her the truth. I was ready for it to be about her father, but no. The reveal is someone we did not see coming.

Wrap-Up

Another excellent episode. The pacing, the tension, the reveals—everything hit. Jax is going to need every ounce of composure and strategy she’s got if she plans to survive this storm.
