Real Housewives of Miami Paused: Guerdy, Julia, and Alexia’s Futures in Jeopardy

Six women in vibrant pink dresses pose confidently in front of a white car. A colorful flamingo mural adorns the background.

It’s time to put the Versace kaftans back in the cedar closet, because the 305 is officially going cold. In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Bravosphere, Bravo has officially placed The Real Housewives of Miami on pause. While the ladies are usually known for bringing the heat, it seems the network has decided they need a little time in the chiller to figure out why the ratings haven't been matching the high-octane drama.

The Ratings Reality Check

Despite being a critical darling and a favorite among "connoisseur" fans who appreciate a good prosthetic-limb-tossing moment, RHOM has struggled to find its footing in the numbers. As of March 18, 2026, insiders confirmed that the show is the least-watched entry in the Real Housewives franchise. After Season 7 wrapped with a messy three-part reunion in October 2025, the network reportedly took a long, hard look at the data and decided that a "pause" was more responsible than a full-blown cancellation.

Casting Chaos and Legal Limbo

You can’t have a Miami sunset without a little shade, and the current casting rumors are as dark as a Star Island basement. Sources suggest that a major shakeup is the primary reason for the delay.

  • On the Chopping Block: Rumors are swirling that Guerdy Abraira and Julia Lemigova, who spent most of Season 7 transforming from Besties to Brawlers might be out for good.

  • The Alexia Problem: Fan-favorite Alexia Nepola is also facing an uncertain future due to the legal fallout from her ex-husband Todd Nepola’s $10 million defamation lawsuit against the network. While the suit was dismissed in late 2025, it apparently left a sour taste in production's mouth.

  • One and Done? Newcomer Stephanie Shojaee is reportedly "not sold" on returning for a second round of mojitos and meltdowns.

Andy Cohen Weighs In

On his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, executive producer Andy Cohen tried to play it cool, stating there is "no rush" to get cameras rolling again. He pointed to other franchises like New York and Atlanta that have taken extended breaks to "perfect the cast." While Andy claims he wants to keep the show "fresh," fans remember the last time RHOM went on a "pause" it lasted eight years.

Whether this is a brief siesta or a permanent nap remains to be seen. For now, the only thing guaranteed is that the "Guerdy-fied" parties are on hold. Check back at The TV Cave for more updates as this drama continues to unfold.
