Two women in an office setting converse seriously. One wears a plaid shirt, the other a tropical print. Police mugs and files are visible.

Prime Video has officially released the trailer for the highly anticipated Season Two of Deadloch, the critically acclaimed crime comedy created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan. The six-part season launches globally on March 20, 2026, with the first two episodes available immediately, followed by weekly releases culminating with the finale on April 17.

Season Two leaves the misty, noir-infused streets of Tasmania behind and dives headfirst into the sweltering Top End of Australia, Darwin and the remote town of Barra Creek embracing what the creators call its “Tropical Gothic era.” Detectives Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) arrive to investigate the death of Eddie’s former policing partner, Bushy. But their plans are quickly derailed when a body part is discovered, forcing the detectives to navigate crocodile-infested waterways, overstretched Indigenous rangers, suspicious locals, and 23-foot prehistoric predators.

Returning cast members include Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner. Joining the ensemble are Luke Hemsworth, Steve Bisley, Shari Sebbens, Jean Tong (making their acting debut), Genevieve Morris, Byron Coll, Nikki Britton, Anthony J. Sharpe, and many more.

Season One of Deadloch was a breakout hit, reaching the Top 10 TV shows in more than 165 countries and territories, including the U.S., U.K., and Canada. It also won five AACTA Awards, including Best Acting in a Comedy for Kate Box and Best Screenplay for McCartney and McLennan, and received an International Emmy nomination.

Sarah Christie, head of Australian and New Zealand Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, said, “Season Two takes audiences to the sweltering and utterly unique world of the Top End, delivering a brilliant, funny, and moving story.” The creators added, “Get your cargo shorts and stubby holders ready for action… Season Two of Deadloch is about to be unleashed globally.”

With sticky heat, crocodile-filled rivers, and a new tropical case full of secrets, Deadloch Season Two promises to be funnier, wilder, and more suspenseful than ever. Fans should mark their calendars for March 20, Dulcie and Eddie are back, and the Top End has never been more dangerous… or hilarious.
