Disney’s upcoming supernatural dramedy Coven Academy just added a major guest star: Devon Sawa (Chucky, Twisted Metal) has signed on to play Mr. Cole, the effortlessly cool teacher who can clown you and protect you at the same time. A brilliant warlock with a knack for keeping teenagers in check, Mr. Cole is set to shake up the halls of Coven Academy in a guest-starring role that promises charm, wit, and magic.

Set in New Orleans, Coven Academy follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic school where power is currency, secrets are lethal, and forbidden attraction is unavoidable. When a surprising new student arrives, Mr. Cole and the faculty find themselves facing unexpected challenges that could change the coven and the city forever.

The series was created by Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and produced under his Chorus Boy Productions for Disney Branded Television. The main cast includes Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass as Tegan, Louis Thresher, and Tiffani Thiessen. Recurring roles feature Swayam Bhatia, Brendon Tremblay, and Keegan Connor Tracy.

Sawa brings a wealth of genre experience to the Disney series, having starred in multiple roles on Syfy’s Chucky alongside Jennifer Tilley, as well as recent projects like Twisted Metal, Hacks, and the film Heart Eyes directed by Josh Ruben. With Sawa joining the faculty, Coven Academy promises a mix of humor, heart, and supernatural stakes for fans of magical drama.

While Disney Channel and Disney+ will host the series, the premiere date is still to be announced. With its combination of teen drama, magical intrigue, and a lineup of seasoned and emerging actors, Coven Academy is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of supernatural high school stories.
