Apple TV has officially released the trailer for “Imperfect Women,” an upcoming psychological thriller led by and executive produced by Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss. The eight-episode limited series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, launching with its first two episodes. New installments will roll out weekly every Wednesday through April 29.

Based on the bestselling novel by Araminta Hall, “Imperfect Women” centers on a crime that fractures a decades-long friendship between three women. What begins as a devastating act quickly unravels into a layered exploration of guilt, retribution, love and betrayal. As the investigation deepens, so do the secrets, exposing how even the closest relationships can conceal hidden resentments and painful truths.

The series was created for television by Annie Weisman, who also serves as showrunner. The project marks Weisman’s continued collaboration with Apple following the critically acclaimed dramedy Physical. Known for crafting complex female characters, Weisman brings that same emotional intensity and nuance to this darker, more suspense-driven story.

Joining Washington and Moss is an impressive ensemble cast that includes Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Sheryl Lee Ralph, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz and Wilson Bethel, among others.

“Imperfect Women” is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Executive producers include Moss and Lindsey McManus through Love & Squalor Pictures, Washington and Pilar Savone for Simpson Street, Hall, and writer Kay Oyegun. Lesli Linka Glatter directs and executive produces episodes one, four and five.

Judging by the trailer’s tense atmosphere and emotional stakes, “Imperfect Women” is shaping up to be a gripping character-driven thriller that examines how one tragic event can permanently alter the course of friendship and expose the fragile foundations beneath it.
