Grab your Riptide and your favorite blue snacks, because Disney+ just blew the roof off Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. The highly anticipated Percy Jackson season 3 teaser officially dropped today, and the gods are definitely not playing nice this time around. Adapting Rick Riordan’s beloved third book, The Titan's Curse, the new footage gives fans a bleak, high-stakes look at what happens when being a child of the Big Three goes horribly wrong.
Along with the intense first footage, Disney+ confirmed that Season 3 will officially premiere on Friday, November 20, 2026. Moving from its traditional Wednesday slot to a weekly Friday release means our weekend plans for late 2026 are already completely locked in.
The Weight of the World (Literally)
If you thought Percy’s previous adventures were stressful, the new teaser is here to raise your anxiety levels. The footage cuts straight to the chase, showing Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) in absolute agony as he groans under the literal weight of the sky.
Over footage of his immense physical struggle, Percy delivers a grim, haunting monologue:
"It was my choice to hold the weight. The Titan's curse. I knew the risk. But if I needed to sacrifice myself to save the world, to save my friends, was it really a choice?"
Not us getting emotional over a 30-second teaser. The clip immediately sets a much darker, more mature tone for the upcoming season. The visual of the sky-bearing curse looks brutal, promising that the series isn't shying away from the heavy physical and emotional tolls of the source material.
Comic-Con Footage Dissects the New Dynamics
Lucky fans inside Hall H got an extended look at the first three minutes of the season premiere, and the character dynamics are already sizzling. The opening scene takes place during the winter holidays in a dark city parking garage. A hooded Thalia Grace (Tamara Smart) is seen tracking Luke Castellan before getting ambushed by a monster.
When Percy and Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) burst in to help save the day, Thalia is visibly annoyed by their interference. Annabeth quickly shuts down the bickering, reminding them they have an urgent mission to rescue two new demigods.
This brings us to the live-action debut of fan-favorite siblings Bianca and Nico di Angelo, played by Olive Abercrombie and Levi Chrisopulos. Executive producer Craig Silverstein teased that the core friction of Season 3 revolves around the fierce rivalry between Percy and Thalia. Both are incredibly powerful children of the Big Three, and their clashing egos over who should lead the quest—and the Great Prophecy—will anchor the season's conflict.
Darker Stakes, Same Iconically Bad Jokes
Despite the looming threat of Atlas and Kronos, the signature humor that anchors the books isn't going anywhere. Walker Scobell reassured fans during the Comic-Con panel that despite the bleaker tone, the book’s legendary "dam jokes" safely made the final cut.
Between the heavy mythology, the introduction of the di Angelo siblings, and a Friday night prime-time release schedule, Season 3 is shaping up to be the show's biggest outing yet.
