Only Murders in the Building Renewed for Season Six & Heads to London for an International Whodunit

Three people in a closet, one covers mouth, another covers ears, and the third covers eyes. Surrounded by shelves with bottles and glasses.

Well, folks, pack your suitcases and your magnifying glasses because Only Murders in the Building is taking the show international. Hulu has officially greenlit Season 6, and Charles, Oliver, and Mabel are leaving the cozy chaos of New York behind for a new mystery set in London.

The Season 5 finale left fans blinking at their screens, and not just because of the usual dramatic eyebrow raises. Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) returned after a two-season hiatus, dropping her new true-crime podcast The Girl With the Curls, which follows a murder case shrouded in London. Things took a twist when the red-haired suspect tumbles outside the Arconia gates, only to be revealed as Cinda herself. Safe to say, the next chapter is already giving us chills.

Hulu has confirmed that part of Season 6 will be filmed in London. Charles, Oliver, and Mabel will trade the Arconia’s familiar hallways for cobbled streets, double-decker buses, and presumably very posh tea breaks, all while trying to solve a brand-new whodunnit. The streamer hasn’t confirmed which returning or recurring characters will join them, but it seems likely Tina Fey won’t be far from the chaos.

No release date has been announced yet, but one thing is clear: fans can expect the same mix of suspense, and heartfelt awkwardness that has made the series a standout. The trio navigating a foreign city promises fresh hijinks, new suspects, and plenty of those moments where you yell at the screen because they just don’t see what’s right in front of them.

Only Murders in the Building has been great at blending cozy comedy with murder mystery, and London is shaping up to be the perfect new playground. Get ready for more schemes, more secrets, and the same three oddballs we’ve grown to love, now tackling crimes across the pond.
