New casting news has just dropped. Jude Law and Andrew Garfield are set to portray the iconic illusionists Siegfried & Roy in an upcoming Apple TV+ limited series. This casting news has piqued our interest. These two actors, we did not realize we needed it until it was presented to us. Telling the story of polarized trainers in Vegas, set in the 90s, oh we are on board.

Siegfried & Roy, known for their dazzling illusions and white tiger acts, rose to fame as they were pioneers who redefined the Las Vegas stage show. Their story is not without a sudden tragedy. You play with wild animals, you find out. With Hollywood increasingly turning to biographical series, especially on streaming platforms like Apple TV+, this show will probably fit right in. It joins the ranks of recent hits like Pam & Tommy and The Crown.

Jude Law, known for his roles in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Sherlock Holmes, and Fantastic Beasts, pairing him with Andrew Garfield, whose performances in Tick, Tick... Boom! and The Social Network has earned critical acclaim, creates an interesting dynamic.

The series is being developed by Apple TV+ and produced by Imagine Television, with John Hoffman, co-creator of Only Murders in the Building, serving as writer and executive producer. It's based on the acclaimed podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy, which offered an intimate, investigative dive into the lives and careers of the two magicians.
