The popular animated series is also expanding its universe with two upcoming feature-length spin-off movies, set to premiere in 2025 and 2026.

What Is Iyanu: Child of Wonder?

Iyanu: Child of Wonder is an African fantasy animated series based on the graphic novel series by Roye Okupe. The show follows a brave teenage orphan, Iyanu, who discovers her divine powers and sets out to save her homeland from an ancient evil. Inspired by Yoruba legends, the series offers a fresh, magical narrative rarely seen in mainstream animation.

Premiering on Cartoon Network on April 5, 2025, and streaming on HBO Max starting April 6, the series quickly gained global attention for its vibrant visuals, authentic African storytelling, and an all-Nigerian voice cast, including Serah Johnson as Iyanu.
