Enter Cuba Gooding Jr. Kubitz’s excitement about acting alongside the Oscar winner was palpable. “When I first heard he would be playing my dad, I could not believe it. He is my favorite in Radio,” Kubitz confessed. “He always improvised his lines, and you never knew what he would say, but it was always hilarious. I learned so much from him, and I am really grateful for the experience.”

Filming brought its own set of thrills and challenges, particularly during a high-energy bike chase that Kubitz fondly remembers. “We had this amazing bike scene where we were trying to get to a location fast,” he said. “The camera crew filmed us from a truck while we rode. It was super fun, and I think it will be one of my favorite scenes in the movie.” Emotional moments were another hurdle, requiring Kubitz to tap into his own experiences to deliver authentic performances. “Some scenes were emotionally challenging,” he said. “It was tough, but it ended up turning out really great.”
