Three smiling TV hosts stand before a glittery red backdrop with hanging string lights.

The holidays are about to get a little sweeter, and probably a whole lot more stressful. Gordon Ramsay is returning to FOX with Season 2 of Next Level Baker, premiering Thursday, November 19, at 9 p.m. ET. Because nothing says holiday cheer quite like trying to bake the perfect dessert while Gordon Ramsay watches your every move.

The festive competition is bringing back Ramsay and fan-favorite mentor Carla Hall, with award-winning pastry chef Waylynn Lucas joining the lineup. Together, they'll guide a new group of talented bakers through challenges designed to test their creativity, skills, and ability to keep it together when things inevitably go wrong.

This season kicks off with a team selection process as each mentor chooses three contestants: a home baker, a professional baker, and a social media chef. From there, the competition gets serious as contestants tackle elaborate holiday creations, unexpected twists, and the kind of baking disasters that make fans grateful they're watching from their couches.

And because a regular baking competition apparently isn't festive enough, Season 2 is bringing special guests and a performance from Pentatonix. The five-week competition will also feature a massive three-tier cake challenge in the finale.

That's a lot of pressure for anyone trying to keep their frosting from sliding off. Of course, there's more than bragging rights on the line. The winning baker will walk away with $50,000 and a HexClad prize package, making every collapsed cake and questionable decorating decision that much more painful.

Following its debut last holiday season, Next Level Baker is returning with bigger challenges and plenty of opportunities for delicious success or spectacular failure.

Next Level Baker Season 2 premieres Thursday, November 19, on FOX, with episodes streaming the following day on Hulu.
