Peacock's upcoming comedy DIG is digging up some more star power ahead of its November premiere. The series, led by Amy Poehler, has added five familiar faces to its lineup, bringing even more personality to an archaeological adventure that already sounds like a recipe for chaos.

Max Greenfield, Jason Mantzoukas, Brennan Lee Mulligan, Noma Dumezweni and Dan Bucatinsky are joining the comedy, which premieres November 23, 2026, on Peacock. Mantzoukas, Mulligan and Dumezweni will appear in recurring roles, while Greenfield and Bucatinsky are set to guest star.

And judging by their character descriptions, this archaeological expedition is going to involve a lot more than digging through ancient ruins.

Who Are the New Cast Members Playing?

Mantzoukas, known for his memorable comedic performances in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Good Place, will portray Lambros, a local store owner who occasionally helps himself to treasures uncovered at the archaeological site. A little business, a little looting. What could possibly go wrong?

Mulligan, known for Dimension 20, takes on the role of Marcus Robertson Jr., better known as M.R. He's a wealthy man with plenty of free time who is considering whether to financially support the excavation. With money potentially on the line, his involvement could make things interesting for the team.

Dumezweni will play Evelyn, the mother of Clare, portrayed by Antonia Thomas. Evelyn has a major influence on her daughter's life and isn't particularly concerned with whether Clare wants her opinions. Something tells us those mother-daughter conversations could get complicated.

Meanwhile, New Girl favorite Greenfield will portray Andrew, a wealthy art dealer who crosses paths with Poehler's character, Elise, at an upscale party. Bucatinsky rounds out the new additions as Fritz, a New York museum director who becomes interested in Clare's professional future.

What Is Peacock's DIG About?

Set against the backdrop of Greece, DIG follows a group of archaeologists and college students spending their summer working at an excavation site. While some members of the team take their responsibilities more seriously than others, everything changes when they uncover an unusual artifact that launches them into an unexpected adventure.

The series stars Poehler alongside Hugh Laurie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas and Fina Strazza.

Behind the scenes, DIG reunites Poehler with Michael Schur, her former Parks and Recreation collaborator. The pair co-created the comedy and serve as executive producers, with J.J. Philbin also attached as a writer and executive producer. The show is based on Kate Myers' bestselling novel Excavations, with Myers serving as a co-executive producer.

For fans of Parks and Recreation, the creative reunion alone offers plenty of reasons to be curious. Add an ensemble packed with comedic talent, an adventure in Greece and a group of characters who may not always have their priorities straight, and DIG has the ingredients for a fun new addition to Peacock's comedy lineup. Of course, we'll have to see whether the series can turn that promising combination into something worth binge-watching.

All 10 episodes of DIG premiere Monday, November 23, 2026, exclusively on Peacock.
