General Hospital Weekly Recap: Sonny Loses Allies, Willow Faces Exposure, and Chase Picks the Wrong Side

Things are getting increasingly uncomfortable for Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital, and the people of Port Charles aren't exactly lining up to give him the benefit of the doubt. Between accusations surrounding the Pentonville prison attack, a relationship falling apart, and members of his own family questioning his innocence, Sonny is discovering just how lonely life can get when everyone thinks you're lying.
Meanwhile, Willow's secrets are becoming public knowledge, Chase is determined to defend her regardless of the consequences, and Tracy Quartermaine is having the time of her life watching the fallout. Add some family drama, an unexpected rescue mission, and another potential threat to Trina, and there's plenty to unpack from this week.
Sonny Corinthos Finds Himself Running Out of Support
Sonny's troubles continued when ADA Turner confronted him over the beating of Jenz Sidwell and Curtis Ashford at Pentonville. She accused him of lying, ended their relationship, and made it clear she intended to come after him.
Even Gio has begun questioning Sonny's innocence. Believing Sonny ordered the attack, Gio decides to move out, with plans to live with Emma. Unfortunately, Sonny doesn't immediately realize just how far his relationship with Gio has deteriorated.
His remaining supporters include Carly, Jason, Ric, Kristina, Donna, and possibly Laura. Jason continues searching for Vito, hoping to uncover information that could help Sonny's case.
Carly stands firmly behind Sonny, explaining why ordering the attack wouldn't make sense if he truly walked away from the business. Donna also offers her father some much-needed reassurance, telling him she believes him and always will.
Sonny's conversation with Donna is particularly heartbreaking. He prepares her for the possibility that classmates might say terrible things about him, reminding her that what matters is believing he's telling the truth.
Meanwhile, Turner tells Anna she doesn't trust her judgment and wants another review of the evidence surrounding Sonny's possible involvement. Anna is tasked with determining whether there's enough to justify an arrest.
Willow's Secrets Explode, and Chase Still Doesn't Get It
Lulu's article exposing Willow's involvement in drugging Drew with a paralytic sends shock waves through Port Charles, especially at the Quartermaine mansion. Tracy is practically delighted to share the news with Michael and Brook Lynn. Her excitement is so overwhelming that Brook Lynn briefly wonders whether she's having a stroke. No such luck. Tracy is perfectly healthy and simply enjoying Willow's latest scandal.
Michael, however, isn't celebrating. He warns the family that Willow won't accept the exposure quietly and that the Quartermaines should prepare for retaliation. And who comes rushing to Willow's defense? Chase, of course.
Already working with Monet on legal separation paperwork, Chase arrives at the Quartermaine mansion demanding to know whether Brook Lynn was responsible for the article. He then turns his accusations toward Michael and Tracy, refusing to listen when Tracy attempts to reason with him.
Chase vows to help Willow fight back and later encourages her to pursue a libel lawsuit against Lulu and the Quartermaines. At this point, is there any hope for Chase? His determination to defend Willow is becoming almost impossible to understand.
Willow also confides in Britt about her decision to align herself with Sidwell. Britt wisely questions why Sidwell would expose Willow while potentially implicating himself in another crime. He isn't exactly known for doing favors out of the goodness of his heart.
Having Britt challenge Willow's reasoning was a welcome development, especially when so many other people seem willing to accept Willow's explanations without question. Sidwell attempts to dismiss his conversation with Lulu by suggesting he believed it was a hallucination or dream. He later tells Dante the accusations are lies, while Drew and Ava discuss how confirming the article might actually benefit them by shifting attention toward Willow and away from their own involvement.
Carly, meanwhile, is more than happy to torment Drew over the article's popularity, informing him that it's trending worldwide. Drew insists Lulu misled him and considers the story a hit piece, but Carly doesn't seem particularly concerned about his feelings.
Brook Lynn and Chase Drift Further Apart
Brook Lynn's marriage continues to unravel as Chase becomes increasingly consumed with defending Willow.
She opens up to Hudson about the situation and later discusses her feelings with Valentin, who encourages her to remain true to herself. Despite their difficulties, Brook Lynn tells a delighted Tracy that she no longer believes her marriage is necessarily finished.
She also remains determined to do whatever it takes to keep Phoebe. Chase, however, is preparing legal separation documents with Monet and tells Willow she no longer needs to keep her distance from him. His actions suggest that reconciliation with Brook Lynn isn't exactly his top priority. It's difficult to watch Brook Lynn fight for her family while Chase continues making decisions that push them further apart.
Curtis Gets a New Attorney as Jordan Prepares for Treatment
Curtis may finally have a path forward when he hires Monet to handle his appeal. She confidently tells him she can win his case, although Curtis remains cautious about trusting her.
Their relationship becomes even more complicated when Monet reveals that Jordan is her sister. Stella also meets the attorney and makes it clear she's not convinced Monet can be trusted. Still, Monet insists she's Curtis's best chance of getting out of Pentonville, leaving the family with little choice but to consider what she can accomplish.
Jordan, meanwhile, learns she may have an opportunity for facial reconstruction at the Baden-Baden clinic where Michael previously received treatment for his burns. Michael offers to accompany her and introduce her to his medical team. Although Curtis knows he'll miss her, he encourages Jordan to pursue the procedure, and she ultimately agrees to make the trip.
Jason's Search Takes an Unexpected Detour
Jason continues looking for Vito, but his week takes an unusual turn when Serena arrives at the Quartermaine home with a painful message from Scott Baldwin. Serena is there for a Deception meeting with Tracy and Brook Lynn, but things quickly become considerably more dramatic when she ends up dangling upside down from the roof outside the kitchen door.
Jason is stunned by the sight, and the situation leads to an unexpected rescue operation involving the peregrine falcons nesting on the mansion's roof. Serena convinces Jason to help relocate the nest to a nearby nature preserve.
Elsewhere, Tracy's efforts to keep tabs on her family aren't going particularly smoothly. Yuri refuses to report on Brook Lynn and also declines her request to get rid of the falcons. Apparently, even Tracy Quartermaine has limits when it comes to getting people to follow orders.
Anna Makes Progress, but Trouble Still Looms
Anna reaches an important milestone in her treatment with Dr. Nichols, finally making a breakthrough that leaves her feeling free of Cesar Faison's lingering influence. It's a significant emotional development for Anna, whose history with Faison has haunted her for years. Felicia also delivers intriguing news: Robert Scorpio and Holly are returning to Port Charles to settle some unfinished business. With those two involved, it's difficult to imagine everything staying quiet for long. Elsewhere, Portia returns to work following her maternity leave, while Stella and Marshall help care for Dez. Portia tells Isaiah that he is the man of her life and expresses her desire for Dez to love him, too.
Trina and Gio Have Another Reason to Worry
Trina and Gio are preparing for another performance at the Cat's Eye Lounge on Tuesday, October 13, at 8 p.m. They also have a CD featuring their music, giving the pair something exciting to celebrate. Unfortunately, the stalker targeting Trina hasn't gone away. The disturbing individual has added the upcoming performance date and the pair's CD cover to a vision board, suggesting Trina remains very much in their sights. What should be a happy moment for Trina and Gio could turn into something far more dangerous if the stalker makes another move.
What's Next for Port Charles?
Sonny's fight to prove his innocence is far from over, especially with Turner determined to pursue the case and Gio joining the growing list of people who doubt him. Jason's search for Vito could prove crucial, but Sonny is running out of time and allies.
Willow's exposure has also created another mess for the Quartermaines, and Chase's insistence on defending her could destroy whatever chance remains of repairing his marriage to Brook Lynn. With Curtis preparing an appeal, Jordan considering a life-changing procedure, Robert and Holly heading back to town, and Trina's stalker watching her next move, General Hospital has plenty of unfinished business.
And knowing Port Charles, things will probably get worse before they get better.
