General Hospital Weekly Recap: Sonny’s World Cracks, Curtis Is Attacked and Danny Turns on Rocco

Port Charles spent the week of September 28–October 2 proving that one bad decision can set off about six different disasters at once. Between Charlotte being shipped off to boarding school, Curtis getting brutally attacked at Pentonville and Sonny suddenly finding his promises questioned by nearly everyone around him, General Hospital packed a lot into five episodes.
The biggest story, though, belonged to Sonny. He has spent weeks insisting that he is stepping away from the business, but one violent incident at Pentonville was enough to make everyone wonder whether anything had really changed.
Curtis and Sidwell’s Attack Puts Sonny Right Back in the Crosshairs
Things went sideways fast when Curtis Ashford and Jenz Sidwell were attacked inside Pentonville. Curtis was not the original target, but after stepping in while Sidwell was being beaten, he became a victim too. Making matters worse, Curtis told investigators that one of the attackers invoked Sonny Corinthos’ name during the assault, immediately putting Sonny back under suspicion.
Sonny insists the attack was not what he ordered. According to him, Vito was sent to Pentonville with instructions for Sully to keep an eye on Sidwell and make sure nothing happened to him. That explanation, however, became increasingly difficult to sell once surveillance footage connected people from Sonny’s organization to the situation. For a man trying to convince everyone that the old life is behind him, this could not have looked worse.
The fallout with Dante was especially ugly. Dante already had doubts about whether his father had truly walked away from the mob, and the Pentonville attack only made those doubts stronger. By Friday, father and son were going at each other with Gio caught in the middle, and Dante openly warned his son not to blindly trust Sonny the way he once did. Sonny maintained that he never ordered the beating, but Gio was left staring at his grandfather with plenty of questions and very few comfortable answers.
This is where the story gets interesting because Sonny may technically be telling the truth about the order, but that does not magically erase the larger problem. His old world is still capable of dragging everyone he loves into the fallout, and the people closest to him are beginning to realize that leaving “the business” is a lot more complicated than simply saying he is done.
Jordan Is Ready to Go to War for Curtis
Jordan’s reaction to Curtis’ condition was one of the week’s strongest emotional threads. Seeing him beaten and hospitalized sent her into full protective mode, especially after learning that Curtis believed Sonny was behind the attack. Curtis was more realistic about the situation, pointing out that proving anything would be difficult, but Jordan was not interested in letting the matter go.
Their scenes also fed into Jordan’s growing connection with Michael. Earlier in the week, Michael and Jordan opened up to one another about living with the lasting physical and emotional effects of their burns. Jordan admitted that her scars have changed the way she sees herself, while Michael understood exactly what it is like to carry pain that other people cannot see. After their conversation, Michael quietly reached out to the Baden Baden clinic that treated him, suggesting he may be preparing to help Jordan in a very personal way.
There is a lot happening around Jordan right now, but those two stories actually complement each other nicely. She is fiercely trying to protect Curtis while struggling with her own vulnerabilities, and Michael is becoming one of the few people who seems capable of seeing both sides of her.
Charlotte Leaves Port Charles and Danny Blames Rocco
Meanwhile, the fallout from Charlotte’s plan involving Drew finally caught up with her. Lulu and Valentin agreed that their daughter needed more structure and supervision after she planned to set Drew up in a compromising situation, and they made the difficult decision to send her to St. Agatha’s boarding school in Maine. Charlotte fought the decision at first, but eventually accepted that she was leaving and asked for the chance to say goodbye to Danny.
That goodbye only made things worse between Danny and Rocco. Danny blamed Rocco for revealing what Charlotte had planned, while Rocco argued that Charlotte’s scheme had become too dangerous to ignore. What started as an argument over loyalty and blame eventually exploded into a physical fight, with Danny throwing the first punch and both boys ending up hurt. Danny later told Jason and Sonny that as far as he was concerned, his relationship with Rocco was over for good.
The fallout is bigger than just two teenagers fighting. Charlotte’s departure has exposed how fractured this entire younger generation has become, with Danny angry, Rocco defensive and Scout caught in the middle of several family wars she never asked to be part of.
Trouble Keeps Spreading Across Port Charles
There were plenty of smaller developments moving in the background too. Britt continued dealing with the fallout from her relationship with Jason, while Lucas provided exactly the kind of blunt commentary she probably did not want but definitely needed. Willow also took a sudden interest in Curtis’ situation, though her motives had plenty to do with using Sonny’s legal troubles against Michael.
Brook Lynn continued questioning her marriage to Chase, while Lulu grew increasingly worried about Danny’s influence on Rocco and Charlotte. And with Scout getting a closer look at the mess surrounding Drew and Ava, the younger characters continue being pulled deeper into battles that really belong to the adults.
By the end of the week, though, everything kept circling back to Sonny. Whether he ordered the Pentonville attack or not, his name is attached to it, his organization is involved and his family is losing faith. That may be the bigger problem than anything the police can prove.
Sonny wanted out of the business. This week made it painfully clear that the business may not be finished with him.
