Port Charles certainly knows how to keep everyone on their toes! The October 26–30 episodes of General Hospital brought heartbreaking goodbyes, unexpected returns, family drama, and a gruesome discovery that could finally answer questions surrounding Jack Brennan's disappearance.

Brook Lynn and Chase made a painful decision about their marriage, Jude Jacks arrived with a bombshell about Phoebe, and Nina Reeves finally returned. Meanwhile, Heather Webber made a surprising appearance, and Carly and Valentin received some unexpected help in their investigation.

Brook Lynn and Chase's Heartbreaking Goodbye

Brook Lynn and Chase traveled to the Dominican Republic to finalize their divorce, but neither seemed ready to end their marriage. Even the judge noticed something unusual about the couple, explaining that he had witnessed divorces involving people who truly didn't care about each other, and Brook Lynn and Chase clearly weren't one of those couples.

Chase admitted that he didn't want a divorce, but he also believed the trust between them had been broken. Brook Lynn tearfully insisted they couldn't remain married and signed the paperwork, prompting Chase to do the same. The flashbacks of their love story were beautiful and romantic, making their separation even more painful. Watching Chase bury his wedding ring in the sand was especially heartbreaking, and these were some of the week's most emotional scenes.

Back in Port Charles, Tracy had already been encouraging Brook Lynn to do what was best for herself and Phoebe. After her granddaughter returned, Tracy offered to handle the preparations for the upcoming Deception meeting and encouraged Brook Lynn to take time to mourn the end of her marriage.

Chase, meanwhile, turned to Willow for support and asked for help finding a new home. Brook Lynn later arrived at Willow's gatehouse and brushed aside Chase's excuses for being there, because she had much bigger news to share.

Is this really the end of Brook Lynn and Chase? With their marriage officially dissolved and Willow still in the picture, there's plenty of reason to wonder whether these two will ever find their way back to each other.

Jude Jacks Arrives With a Shocking Claim About Phoebe

Just when Brook Lynn thought she had enough heartbreak to handle, Jude Jacks arrived at the Quartermaine mansion demanding to see his daughter. He introduced himself and announced that Phoebe was his child, claiming that someone had lied about her paternity and that he had proof.

Jude later visited Alexis at the Miller & Davis Law Office, hoping she would represent him in his effort to reclaim Phoebe. Alexis wasn't interested in getting involved, especially given her complicated history with Jude's father, and made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with him.

But Jude wasn't about to give up. He insisted he could prove he was Phoebe's father and vowed to get his daughter back, creating another potentially devastating situation for Brook Lynn and her family. Jason also became involved after learning Jude was in Port Charles. He visited Josslyn to ask whether her Uncle Jerry had a son named Jude, and she confirmed the family connection.

Jack Brennan's Disappearance Takes a Gruesome Turn

Carly and Valentin continued working together to uncover the truth about Jack Brennan's disappearance. Their investigation became more complicated when they learned that Ava had reportedly been the last person seen with Brennan on the night he vanished. Agent Baines began questioning people connected to the case, including Dante and Ava, while Detective Joe Fitzpatrick visited Carly at her Metro Court office. Ava wasn't pleased with the WSB's involvement and confronted Baines over what had happened to her friend.

Ava also approached Alexis for assistance, reminding her of their complicated past involving attempted murder and kidnapping. Alexis refused to commit to representing Ava without knowing exactly what she had done, leaving Ava in an increasingly uncomfortable position. Meanwhile, Danny had information that could change the entire investigation. He admitted to Carly and Valentin that he and Charlotte had seen them searching Drew's office on the night Brennan disappeared, but that wasn't the most important thing the teenagers witnessed.

Danny revealed that he and Charlotte had seen Brennan's body floating in the Metro Court pool. They checked to make sure he was dead before running away, and they also spotted Ava and Drew in the pool area that night.

That revelation raised even more questions about what Ava and Drew knew. Could Ava eventually turn against her co-conspirator to protect herself from the WSB and PCPD?

Then came one of the week's most shocking discoveries, courtesy of Outback. The dog returned from her favorite digging spot at the nature preserve with a rather disturbing gift for Danny: a human finger!

Carly and Valentin followed the trail and discovered the rest of a human hand, leading them to Brennan's body. After all the searching, questioning, and suspicion, it was Outback who provided the breakthrough they desperately needed.

Nina Reeves Returns, and Heather Webber Surprises Trina

Welcome back, Nina Reeves! Cynthia Watros returned to General Hospital as Nina, who had been held at Steinmauer while the WSB investigated Jack Brennan's disappearance. Agent Baines visited Nina and acknowledged that the agency may have rushed to judgment. He later arranged for her transfer to a WSB holding site near Port Charles, where he continued questioning her and offered what appeared to be a peace offering.

Nina's return is certainly welcome, although it remains unclear what the WSB intends to do with her. With Brennan's body now discovered, her connection to the investigation could become even more significant. Meanwhile, Trina had been receiving strange messages and flowers from someone claiming to be her biggest fan. A mysterious invitation brought her to the Cat's Eye Lounge for what was supposed to be a private, sold-out performance for one person.

Trina discovered another bouquet of red roses and an unsettling message waiting for her. The mystery admirer was finally revealed to be Heather Webber, bringing Alley Mills back to Port Charles in a rather frightening fashion. Is Heather really Trina's biggest fan, or does she have something else in mind? Considering their history, Trina has every reason to be suspicious of this unexpected reunion.

Curtis Faces Pentonville as Portia Stands Her Ground

Curtis received devastating news when Monet informed him that he would be returning to maximum security at Pentonville. With his future looking increasingly uncertain, Drew offered to help secure an appeal and expressed outrage over what he claimed Sonny's people had done to Curtis. Portia wasn't impressed with Drew's involvement. When he approached her at General Hospital and suggested they work together to help Curtis, she refused to align herself with him.

Instead, Portia went directly to Curtis and offered her assistance, provided he agreed to her conditions. It was wonderful seeing Portia stand her ground rather than allowing Drew to dictate how she should handle the situation.

Gio also began questioning the accusations against his grandfather, Sonny. After visiting Curtis and speaking with Dante, he wondered whether the supposed evidence against Sonny had been fabricated to frame him. Rather than simply accepting the version of events everyone seemed eager to believe, Gio introduced some much-needed doubt. His questions could prove important as the truth about Curtis' situation continues to unfold.

Lulu Refuses to Back Down as Drew and Willow Join Forces

Lulu remained determined to stand behind her article despite the libel lawsuit brought against her. Dante encouraged her to publish a retraction, but Lulu refused and insisted she was prepared to defend her reporting in court. Ric approached Alexis about the lawsuit, hoping she could persuade Monet to drop the case. Alexis explained that Monet was handling the matter, leaving Ric with little progress to report when he later met with Lulu.

Drew and Willow also discussed the problems caused by Lulu's article and agreed to form an alliance, despite the tension between them. Drew had already been thrown off the Quartermaine property by Jason, but that didn't stop him from sneaking back onto the estate to visit Willow at the gatehouse. Carly and Valentin, meanwhile, agreed to help Lulu with her legal troubles. They believed that uncovering the truth about Jack Brennan's disappearance might provide information that could strengthen her defense. With Brennan's remains finally discovered and so many people connected to the investigation, Lulu's case could become even more complicated.

Anna Confronts Her Trauma as Danny Gets an Eyeful

Anna continued working with Dr. Nichols to uncover the source of her trauma involving Faison. Valentin joined one of her therapy sessions, helping her confront memories and emotions that had remained buried for years. These were very good scenes, almost like watching a mystery slowly unfold. Each conversation offered another piece of Anna's complicated history, making her efforts to understand her trauma especially compelling.

Elsewhere, Jason and Dante decided that Danny and Rocco should work together around the Quartermaine estate. The fathers hoped that sharing chores might help the boys repair their damaged friendship.

Unfortunately, the plan became more complicated when Danny walked into the stables' tack room and found Rocco kissing Scout. Danny immediately told Rocco to get away from his sister, creating another uncomfortable situation for the family.

Scout had already been sneaking around, including arriving late to dinner with Drew and blaming her delay on her rideshare. With Danny now aware of what she's been doing, keeping this secret may become much harder.

Dante and Elizabeth Share a Tender Moment

Dante visited Elizabeth at her home after promising to help her bake cupcakes. He reminded her that he keeps his promises, and their time together took an unexpectedly romantic turn. At one point, Dante gently wiped frosting from Elizabeth's face, prompting Elizabeth to feel an impulse to kiss him. The tender moment was interrupted before anything could happen, but it certainly suggested there could be more developing between them.

Later, Dante delivered cupcakes to the community center before meeting Lulu at Cafe Cherie. During their conversation, Lulu noticed something white on his sleeve, giving Dante a sudden realization connected to the frosting. Could Elizabeth and Dante be headed toward a new romance? Their scenes certainly gave us something to think about.

Deception and ELQ Prepare for Major Changes

Changes were also underway in the business world as Deception moved toward joining ELQ. Tracy thanked Jason for his assistance with the acquisition, while Brook Lynn prepared for an important meeting involving the companies. Serena arrived at the Quartermaine mansion and greeted Jason with the promise that he would soon be a very happy man.

Meanwhile, Lucy visited Willow at the gatehouse, claiming she had come to make all her dreams come true. With Tracy, Lucy, Serena, and the Quartermaines involved, this business arrangement could bring plenty of complications. Port Charles business deals rarely happen without a little personal drama attached.

Final Thoughts

What an emotional and surprising week for General Hospital! Brook Lynn and Chase's divorce was heartbreaking, especially with the beautiful flashbacks and Chase's painful decision to bury his wedding ring in the sand. Jude's arrival brought another threat to Brook Lynn's happiness, while Nina's return and Heather Webber's unexpected appearance added plenty of excitement and mystery. Anna's therapy scenes were especially compelling, and Portia deserves credit for standing up to Drew.

The discovery of Jack Brennan's body was another major turning point, with Danny's revelation and Outback's gruesome find finally giving Carly and Valentin something concrete to investigate. With Ava and Drew under suspicion, the fallout could be enormous.

Port Charles experienced some enlightening and frightening moments this week, and several storylines appear ready to explode. Between heartbreaking endings, dangerous secrets, and unexpected reunions, there's no telling what these characters will face next!
