Days of Our Lives Weekly Recap 5-12

Johnny answers Chanel’s question—he did not shoot his father. He says there’s a difference between wishing someone harm and actually pulling the trigger. She believes him but insists he needs to find a better way to handle his anger. Paulina interrupts, focused on doing damage control after the Sweet Bits and Sarah situation. Once she leaves, Johnny apologizes and tells Chanel he’s taking the job at Titan-DiMera and has started therapy. Just as he’s about to leave, Chanel asks him to come home.


Kristen visits the Black household to talk with Brady about Rachel. None of the kids at school want to come to her party. They bicker a bit but eventually agree to be civil for Rachel’s sake. Brady then leaves to meet with Phillip.


Phillip runs into Alex and questions his interest in buying the hospital. Later, Phillip sneaks into Alex’s DiMera Pharmaceuticals dealings and calls Dr. Frame for more info.


At the pub, Kate trains Doug. Alone, she and Roman question each other about the missing gun and whether either of them shot EJ—which they both deny. Doug chats with Holly, who tries to convince him she doesn’t want to go to prom. Doug mentions getting his GED. Brady arrives, creating an awkward moment by mentioning Tate missing Holly, which prompts her to leave.





Phillip tries to pump Brady for information, but Brady doesn’t fall for it. Meanwhile, Kristen tries to convince Alex to help her get back into the company, but he declines.


Roman tells Kate he confessed to Johnny about the missing gun—which he found in the DiMera garden. He hasn’t told Sami or Johnny the full story, not wanting to make things worse. Kate opens up about Vivian, Phillip, and the forgery mess. They agree they’re both protecting their kids and grandkids but admit they need more transparency with each other.

Paulina sees Johnny packing to move back in with Chanel and warns him not to break her daughter’s heart. Johnny reassures her—he won’t—and reminds her he’s in therapy.


EJ continues scheming to buy the hospital and meets with Kayla about the upcoming board meeting.

In the hospital, Sarah urges Xander to apologize to Felicity. He bumps into Cat and asks her to pass along the apology, but she refuses. She reminds him he needs to do it himself and calls out his hypocrisy for mentioning her Abigail stunt while refusing to make amends himself.


Later, Cat confronts EJ about why he bought the auction date. He admits he wanted to go with someone who didn’t hate him. He also brings up her past impersonation of Abigail, which irks her. They talk about Chad, and Cat reveals she’s going on the date instead.


EJ returns home to find Belle. They discuss his plans to buy the hospital, and EJ continues to push that he’s changed.

Cat receives a mysterious and unsettling phone call.


Phillip, still trying to save Bo and get in Xander’s good graces, plans to steal the drug. He contacts Kevin Lambert, a pharmaceutical guru, for help. They strike a deal—Kevin helps, and Phillip gets him a job.


Kayla checks on Sarah and tells her about Xander’s interest in the hospital. Sarah supports it but has reservations. She and Xander also talk about having another child.


Kayla meets with Xander, who is honest about his intentions with the hospital. She agrees to back him. After Xander leaves, Belle urges Kayla to give EJ a fair shot—people can change.


Phillip tells Kevin to get the drug for Bo. Kevin agrees but is forced to flee with the entire supply when Steve and Shawn D also break in. They later discover Dr. Russell returned early and is heading to the lab.





Stephanie talks with her mom, who’s distracted by Steve and Shawn D’s actions. She heads out to meet Alex. Later, Shawn D and Steve tell her someone stole the drug. Shane contacts Marlena with news—they may have found John.


Marlena and Susan have breakfast before Susan heads out. EJ drops by, irritating Marlena. Susan praises Belle and EJ’s relationship, which sends Marlena over the edge—but she quickly apologizes. EJ leaves for a doctor’s appointment, saying John is in his prayers. Afterward, Marlena gets a call from Paul—they’ve found John. She tells Susan, who’s excited but gets a strange feeling.


Xander works by Sarah’s bedside. She urges him to be fair to Phillip, but Xander snaps, unsure how to trust him. Sarah feels guilty for bringing Phillip up and spoiling their trip, but Xander says they can have a mini getaway and maybe work on giving their daughter a sibling.


Kevin meets with Phillip, admitting he couldn’t return the drug. Dr. Russell knows it’s missing. Phillip agrees to handle it.

At the hospital, Russell confronts Kayla, who’s already been told about the missing drug by Steve and Shawn D. Security footage was cut, so they suspect an inside job. When Russell cools off, he apologizes to Kayla, realizing she wouldn’t have done it.


Later, Kayla accuses EJ, who insists he knows nothing about the missing drug. Steve and Shawn D suspect Kevin, as he was the last to use the lab keycard.


Sarah prepares to be discharged when word spreads about the missing drug. Xander immediately suspects Phillip. Sarah then realizes Xander’s motivation for the hospital may not be so noble. Xander confronts Phillip, who admits he stole the drug for Bo. Furious, Xander punches him.
