‘Campus Drivers’ Trailer: Roommates, Romance, and a Whole Lot of Bad Decisions

Prime Video is getting ready to take viewers back to college, where the classes are stressful, the relationships are complicated, and falling for the guy who doesn't believe in commitment is practically a graduation requirement.

The streaming service is bringing C.S. Quill's bestselling Campus Drivers novels to television, with Carmen Kassovitz and Baptiste Masseline leading the French romantic drama. The series arrives November 6, and the trailer introduces a college love story with all the familiar ingredients: heartbreak, unexpected roommates, undeniable attraction, and two people who probably should have thought their living arrangements through a little better.

But where would the fun be in that?

A Broken Heart and a Very Questionable Roommate Decision

Lois (Kassovitz) had her college life all planned out. She was heading to the prestigious Belrose University alongside Max (Enzo Lorente), her longtime boyfriend, and everything seemed to be falling into place.

Then love decided to throw those plans straight out the window. Following a devastating breakup, Lois finds herself on the doorstep of Lane (Masseline), one of the most popular guys on campus. Lane is charming, confident, and the creator of Campus Drivers, a successful rideshare app that has made him something of a celebrity among his fellow students.

He's also not particularly interested in commitment, which should probably be the first warning sign. Naturally, Lois and Lane end up becoming roommates, because nothing says emotional recovery quite like moving in with a handsome guy who has absolutely no intention of settling down.

The two couldn't be more different, but their unexpected living situation brings them closer together. As their attraction grows, both must deal with feelings they weren't prepared for and emotional baggage that could complicate whatever is developing between them.

And let's be serious, Lane can say he doesn't do relationships all he wants, but romance fans know exactly what happens when a character starts making declarations like that. Somebody is about to eat those words.

From Bestselling Books to Prime Video

Campus Drivers is adapted from Quill's popular romance novels, which have sold nearly one million copies in France. The first season draws from Fast Lane, the opening book in the series, and centers on Lois and Lane's complicated relationship.

The story combines two romance favorites: opposites attract and forced proximity. It's the kind of setup where two people insist they aren't interested in each other while spending an unreasonable amount of time thinking about each other.

And of course, there's always that awkward moment when somebody realizes their supposedly casual arrangement has become anything but casual. The cast also includes Madior Fall as Donovan, Esteban Vial as Lewis, Félix Nebel as Adam, Paolo Luka-Noé as Aaron, Eloïse Rey as Carrie, Louna Balavoine as Becca, and Cassandra Cano as Emma. Lane's friends also play an important part in the Campus Drivers world, giving the series room to explore more than one complicated college romance. With several books in Quill's collection, there's plenty of source material available if Prime Video decides to continue the story beyond its first season.

Can ‘Campus Drivers’ Win Over Romance Fans?

Prime Video has been building quite the collection of young adult romance adaptations, and Campus Drivers fits comfortably into a genre that continues to attract viewers looking for love stories with plenty of emotional complications. The setup isn't exactly reinventing romance television. We've seen the charming commitment-phobe, the heartbroken girl, and the unexpected roommate situation before, but familiar tropes aren't necessarily a bad thing when the chemistry works.

That's going to be the biggest test for Kassovitz and Masseline. If viewers become invested in Lois and Lane, all the misunderstandings, stolen glances, and inevitable romantic confusion could make for an entertaining binge.

And with only six episodes, the series won't have much time to waste. The relationship needs to develop while giving audiences enough reason to care about these characters beyond their obvious attraction. Because yes, he's handsome, and yes, she's heartbroken, but we're going to need a little more than that before we start rooting for these two.

When Does ‘Campus Drivers’ Premiere on Prime Video?

Campus Drivers premieres globally on Friday, November 6, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video. All six episodes will be available as part of the series' debut.

Created by Thomas Boullé and written and directed by Tom Goris and Vianney Lebasque, the French-language drama is bringing one of the country's popular college romance book series to the screen. Between the unexpected roommates, unresolved heartbreak, and a guy who thinks commitment is somebody else's problem, Campus Drivers has plenty of opportunities for romantic chaos.

Now let's see how long Lane lasts before his whole no-relationships philosophy comes crashing down.
