Bridgerton Season 4 Is Coming in Hot With Steamy Scenes, Smarter Book Changes, and Peak Jonathan Bailey

A woman in a silver gown and mask faces a man in a black costume at a masquerade ball. Chandeliers and dancing couples fill the elegant hall.

The Bridgerton buzz is officially back in full bloom, and Season 4 is already shaping up to be a fan-fueled fever dream. According to insights shared with TVLine, the Netflix juggernaut isn’t slowing its romantic roll anytime soon. From teasing more steamy, carriage-adjacent moments to promising a closer alignment with Julia Quinn’s source material and sprinkling in Jonathan Bailey’s newly crowned “Sexiest Man Alive” energy, the upcoming season sounds poised to deliver maximum Regency chaos with a wink.

Let’s start with the heat. That now-iconic Season 3 carriage scene didn’t just trend; it rewired the fandom. Executive producer Jess Brownell knows it, too, hinting that Season 4 will feature multiple swoon-worthy sequences that tap into a similar romantic intensity. No carbon copies here, each season has its own flavor but viewers can expect visually lush, emotionally charged moments, including scenes set near (or in) water that aim to capture that same gasp-worthy magic without chasing it.

On the story front, Season 4 appears ready to make book lovers very happy. The new chapter leans more closely into An Offer From a Gentleman than previous adaptations, keeping major beats and visual set pieces intact. That doesn’t mean a word-for-word translation. Benedict Bridgerton’s arc still benefits from thoughtful updates, shaped in part by Luke Thompson’s nuanced performance, which brings a softer, more introspective edge to the character than his literary counterpart.

And then there’s Jonathan Bailey. Returning as Anthony Bridgerton alongside Simone Ashley’s Kate, Bailey’s presence looms large, even when he’s not the season’s romantic focus. Brownell joked that his real-life “Sexiest Man Alive” status has brought an undeniable swagger to the set, adding an extra layer of charm to every scene he’s in. Call it elder Bridgerton energy with abs.

Between heightened romance, respectful book fidelity and a cast that clearly understands the assignment, Bridgerton Season 4 is lining up to be another addictive social season. With Part 1 arriving January 29, 2026, and Part 2 following on February 26, the ton will soon be buzzing again and yes, we’ll all be watching closely to see which carriage steals the spotlight next. The TV Cave will, naturally, be seated front and center.
