‘Big Mistakes’ Season 2 Just Got More Complicated With Two New Cast Members

Oh, Nicky and Morgan really cannot catch a break. Just when you’d think the siblings might get a chance to breathe after everything that went down in Season 1 of Big Mistakes, Netflix is adding two more people to their already complicated lives.

Poorna Jagannathan and Lorenzo De Moor have joined Big Mistakes Season 2 in recurring roles, and yes, we are already wondering what kind of trouble these two are bringing with them. Jagannathan will play Dréa, while De Moor has been cast as Leo. Netflix is keeping the details surrounding their characters pretty quiet for now, because apparently we are supposed to be patient.

That is not exactly easy when a new season is already filming. Production on Season 2 is underway in New Jersey, with Dan Levy returning as Nicky alongside Taylor Ortega as Morgan. Laurie Metcalf, Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum and Abby Quinn are also back, while Elizabeth Perkins has been promoted to series regular for the new season.

If you somehow missed Season 1, Big Mistakes follows siblings Nicky and Morgan after a very questionable attempt to help their dying grandmother lands them in the middle of organized crime. Because naturally, what starts as one bad decision turns into a whole lot of problems. And that is where the fun comes in.

The series has plenty of room to introduce new characters as Nicky and Morgan attempt to navigate a world they were absolutely not prepared for. Adding Jagannathan and De Moor to the mix gives Season 2 two more wild cards, although Netflix is keeping their storylines under wraps for now.

Jagannathan is no stranger to television. Fans may recognize her from Never Have I Ever, The Night Of and Better Call Saul, along with her work in projects including Deli Boys and Wolfs. She also joins the upcoming DC series Lanterns.

De Moor has appeared in projects including Another Simple Favor and You, Me & Tuscany, with more film work on the way.

Behind the scenes, Big Mistakes comes from Dan Levy and Rachel Sennott, with Levy serving as creator and showrunner. The second season is currently in production, but Netflix has not announced a premiere date just yet.

So, basically, we have two new recurring characters, a returning cast, and absolutely no idea what Dréa and Leo are bringing to the table. Which, considering this is Big Mistakes, probably means Nicky and Morgan should be very, very worried.

And honestly? We cannot wait to see it.
