Welcome to the chaos, alliances, and glittering betrayal that is Big Brother Season 27. The premiere week already delivered a juicy cocktail of strategy gone wrong, pawns turned into targets, and some seriously questionable game moves. While the houseguests were still unpacking their duffel bags, the game was already in full swing, and someone had to be the first to hit the road. Spoiler alert: Zae became the first official casualty of the season, and let’s just say it did not go quietly.
If you missed the premiere week or just want to relive every deliciously dramatic moment, we’ve got the full rundown in our Big Brother 27 Recap. Let’s dive into who got evicted, who made the biggest blunders, and why pawns should never get too comfortable on that eviction couch.
BIG BROTHER 27 RECAP
The Setup: Jimmy’s Plan Backfires Spectacularly
If you’re going to stir the pot in the Big Brother house, at least make sure your spoon doesn’t melt. Jimmy came in hot this week with a plan to get Keanu evicted. But despite working overtime to flip the house, all he really managed to do was expose himself and create a ripple effect of chaos. By the time Thursday’s eviction rolled around, the plan had collapsed, Keanu was off the block, and Zae was sitting in the hot seat next to Amy and Kelley.
Let’s be real. Putting up your closest allies in the name of strategy almost never works unless your name is Dr Will. So when Head of Household Vince decided to nominate Kelley—his number one—as a pawn, fans everywhere collectively sighed. You don’t protect your game by sacrificing your alliance. You protect it by not making moves that scream rookie mistake.
The Veto Fallout: Lies, Confrontation, and Some Very Shady Moves
After the Veto meeting, Keanu and Vince compared notes and quickly realized Jimmy was pulling puppet strings behind the scenes. Keanu then took the direct route and confronted Jimmy, who responded by lying his way through the entire conversation. Bold move in a house with cameras and a 24-hour live feed, but hey, gaslighting is practically a strategy in this game.
Meanwhile, Zae was scrambling. He tried to solidify an alliance with Rylie, Zach, Vince, and Will—officially calling themselves the “Burger Boys.” Yes, that’s a Five Guys reference, and no, it does not increase their strategic credibility. Zae also got into it with Rachel, threatening to nominate anyone who voted against him and throwing serious shade by telling her she wouldn’t win two seasons while he’s in the house. The man was playing chess while everyone else was… also playing chess, but apparently playing it better.
The BB Blockbuster Competition: Kelley Takes the Crown
The week’s Power of Veto twist came in the form of the first-ever BB Blockbuster competition, where houseguests had to unscramble words that led to a mystery object in the room. The prize: safety from eviction. In a surprise win, Kelley found the crown, hit the buzzer, and pulled herself off the block. That left Zae and Amy as the final nominees, with one of them guaranteed to be walking out the door by the end of the night.
Vince barely escaped disaster here, thanks entirely to Kelley’s Hail Mary. If she had gone home, his game might’ve been buried before it even began.
The Live Eviction: Zae Talks Big But Gets Booted
Before the votes were cast, Amy made a compelling case, pointing out that Zae was a much bigger threat both physically and strategically. Zae fired back by accusing Amy of being a vote for Rachel and giving her a free ride to the Final Five. Good arguments from both, but only one could stay.
In the end, the house made its decision. With a whopping nine votes, Zae was the first houseguest evicted from Big Brother Season 27. Ouch.
The First Boot Sets the Tone
If Week 1 is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride this season. Between Jimmy’s imploded plan, Vince’s sketchy nominations, Kelley’s clutch competition win, and Zae’s last-minute scrambling, the drama is already thick and fast. The eviction of Zae sets a clear tone: play smart, don’t volunteer as a pawn, and never underestimate how quickly a target can land on your back.
As alliances continue to shift and secrets start to unravel, there’s no telling who might be next. But one thing’s for sure—the game has officially begun, and Big Brother fans are eating it up.
Stay tuned, stay shady, and remember: in the Big Brother house, the first boot is rarely the quietest.
