Beyond the Gates Weekly Recap: Bill Gets Suspicious of Hayley as Her Plan Gets Riskier

This week on Beyond The Gates, Bill may have gotten a clue. Eva gets a taste of her own medicine. Chelsea/Kat hit a roadblock

Shattered Male Pride?

Bill is Released

Bill is released from the hospital, and his daughters go to visit him. Hayley hates every second of it and fantasizes that he kicks the bucket right in front of his daughters. 

Bill, of course, goes back to work, and we learn that he put Tomas in his place offscreen. I would have loved to have seen it. June comes into Bill’s office with a new case. Bill is excited to share the details with Naomi. 

Hayley catches them working and complains. She needs Bill isolated so that she can kill him.

Caught?

Bill wants to have lunch with Hayley, but she tells him she has a dental appointment. She has used that excuse before. However, Bill happens upon a conversation that Hayley is having on the phone with Randy. This prompts him to follow her. He sees her close with Randy. He fumes.

What he doesn’t see is that Randy has given her a new patch of poison in a paper bag that he slides into her purse. Of course he missed that because this show moves at a glacial pace. Hayley is going to increase the dose to expedite Bill’s heart stopping. She is so dim that she isn’t getting that it isn't working and that the increased dosage will become detectable. However, the writers likely forgot that tidbit.

Heather Still Stalks

Heather has a thing for Andre, a horny thing. Andre turns her down, but that doesn’t stop her from still trying to be Dani’s friend and gather information from her.

Heather also killed Lia and made it look like an overdose. We love Ashley Jones but we do not love Heather. So sorry. Joey is mad at his sister’s shenanigans. 

After being turned down by Andre again, Heather goes to the bar and hooks up, offscreen with Carlton. Here I was hoping for a Carlton Leslie romance

Chelsea/Kat with a dose of Allison

Chelsea has been receiving phone calls with breathing. Kat goes to Jacob, and he tells her that Allison is locked up. We later learn that she had smuggled a phone in. Change your number, Chelsea. The show likes to remind us of things that have happened while nothing happens in the present. 

Chelsea and Kat are excited about their Takahashi show when Smitty runs into them. He tells them about the expose he is doing on fashion houses. Turns out Takahashi is running a sweatshop. Naomi is on the case and tried to get Chelsea Kat out of the deal I suppose we will learn what happens next week or not. This show loves to introduce the idea of a story without follow-through. The whole thing will be a conversation.
