Two women sit across from each other in a diner booth, engaged in conversation. The setting is cozy with a neon sign and warm colors.

Beyond The Gates 11/17-11/21/25

Last week on Beyond The Gates, Vernon was still sneaking around. Leslie acts like the boogeyman to Laura. Samantha is a brat on punishment, and Tyrell wants Jessica to come to Thanksgiving Dinner. Martin receives a warning about his political career, and his two sisters clash. Let's get into it.

Sibling Rivalry Part Deux

Kat eavesdropped on Eva and Martin's conversation. She lay in wait for Martin to exit so that she could unleash her vitriol, right down to wishing that Leslie had gotten rid of Eva. Martin hears this and calls her out. Later, Kat asks Chelsea if she is acting like bitch to which Chelsea responds, Kind of. Yikes.

Vernon Dupree

Vernon continues sneaking around with Sharon. It’s stupid, and the same low-key discussions between them are designed to make the audience think that he is cheating when it is clear that he is not.

Later, Vernon talked to Martin about being ready for the midterms. He needs to get his head in the game. Unfortunately, there is not much senatorial about Martin.

Leslie The Big Bad Wolf

Leslie has gotten tiresome. She stomped around, harassing Laura. She acted like a complete witch to Shanice, who stood up for herself. Go Shanice! Leslie thought Shanice was after Ted and tried to stake her claim, but Shanice was not intimidated. Not much else to say where she is concerned, same script, different week.

Weekly Wrap

This week was decent. I loved Shanice standing up for herself. I loved that eventually Laura did too. The issue is the cartoon villain that they have turned Leslie into, complete thumbs down. See last week's thumbs down. Hopefully, this is leading to Leslie's comeuppance.
