Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan Are Up to No Good in Apple TV’s ‘12 12 12’ Trailer

Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan are about to make a mess across Europe, and Apple TV is inviting us along for the ride.
The streamer has dropped the trailer for its upcoming heist drama 12 12 12, premiering November 13, 2026. And because robbing a bank apparently isn't complicated enough, this series plans to tell the story across three different timelines. Oh, this should be interesting.
The eight-episode thriller follows a disgraced FBI agent, played by Mackie, who finds himself locked in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an American career criminal, played by Dornan. At the center of their little European adventure is an elaborate plan to rob a bank vault buried beneath the streets of Zurich.
Now, we've seen plenty of bank robberies on television. The planning, the disguises, somebody inevitably getting greedy, and that one person who refuses to stick to the plan. You know the drill. But 12 12 12 is switching things up by giving viewers three perspectives on the same crime. The story unfolds during the 12 months leading up to the heist, the 12 hours when everything goes down, and the 12 days afterward. That's a whole lot of time for somebody to make a terrible decision, betray their partner, or realize they should have stayed home and gotten a regular job.
And let's talk about this casting for a second. Mackie and Dornan going head-to-head in a crime thriller? We're listening. Mackie has spent plenty of time playing characters who know how to handle themselves under pressure, while Dornan is no stranger to portraying men with questionable judgment. Putting these two on opposite sides of a major criminal operation sounds like a recipe for chaos, and we mean that in the best possible way.
Of course, a clever premise and two recognizable leads can only take a show so far. The real test will be whether 12 12 12 can balance its three timelines without leaving viewers feeling like they need a notebook and a detective board just to figure out what happened. The supporting cast includes Jack Kesy, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, José Garcia, and Kali Reis. Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble created the series, with Kari Skogland directing multiple episodes, including the premiere. Mackie and Dornan also serve as executive producers.
There's plenty of potential here. A massive international robbery, an FBI agent with baggage, a career criminal who clearly isn't interested in making life easy for anyone, and a ticking clock running through three different stages of the same crime.
Now the question is whether everybody makes it out with the money, their freedom, or even their lives intact. Because something tells us this isn't going to be a simple grab-the-cash-and-go situation.
When Does ‘12 12 12’ Premiere?
12 12 12 premieres Friday, November 13, 2026, on Apple TV with two episodes. The remaining episodes will arrive weekly, with the finale airing December 25.
That's right. Christmas Day. While everybody else is opening presents, we'll be finding out who survives this robbery and who should have minded their business.
