Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan Face Off in Apple TV’s New Heist Drama ‘12 12 12’

Apple TV is getting ready to pull off one seriously ambitious heist. The streamer has unveiled a first look at “12 12 12,” its upcoming eight episode drama starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan, and the premise alone has us counting down to November.

Mackie and Dornan lead the series as two men on opposite sides of the law. Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent, while Dornan stars as an American career criminal. Their paths collide in a European game of cat and mouse centered around an audacious attempt to rob a bank vault buried deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

But here is where “12 12 12” gets particularly interesting. The series tells its heist story across three different timelines: the 12 months leading up to the robbery, the 12 hours during the heist itself, and the 12 days that follow. Rather than simply watching the crime unfold from beginning to end, viewers will get to see the planning, execution and aftermath woven together throughout the series.

The cast goes beyond its two headline stars, with Jack Kesy, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, José Garcia and Kali Reis also appearing in the ensemble. Reis, who earned an Emmy nomination for her work on “True Detective,” adds another familiar face to what is shaping up to be a pretty intriguing international thriller.

Behind the camera, Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble created the series and serve as executive producers. Emmy nominated and BAFTA winning filmmaker Kari Skogland directs multiple episodes, including the pilot, and also executive produces. Mackie and Dornan are executive producers as well, with Mackie producing through his Make It With Gravy banner.

“12 12 12” will make its global debut exclusively on Apple TV on Friday, November 13, 2026. The first two episodes will premiere that day, with a new episode arriving every Friday afterward through December 25.
