Woman in a burgundy leather dress stands in a kitchen, smiling at someone in a striped shirt by a sunlit floral-curtained window.

Thursday afternoon, two days before the showcase, and All American is still bringing the drama! After the way the last episode ended, everybody is trying to figure out what happened to Amina and Preach, and Coop is feeling like she should have been there.

Coop is at her internship documenting her success when she finally sees her phone. She immediately runs out and heads to the school, but unfortunately, she is too late. KJ and Khalil meet her in the classroom and give her the rundown. Coop immediately jumps into action, starts putting together a plan, and finds out about the livestream.

Cassius and Jordan are also dealing with their own issues. Cassius wants to put everything between them to the side so they can focus on finding Amina and Preach, but of course, they get interrupted by some overzealous reporter trying to get a story about KJ staging a walkout with their rivals. Jordan quickly sets them straight.

Coop is blaming herself for what happened, and Breonna is trying to comfort her. But then Coop sees the livestream and watches Amina calling her over and over again. That brings back memories of when Shaun was shot, and you can see how much this entire situation is affecting her.

Khalil, KJ, and Layla show up looking for answers, and I guess that pressure is enough to push Breonna to go find Preach herself. The group discovers a website Amina used to write the article that got her suspended, and it gives them some leads. Then Miranda arrives, and KJ answers the door. You can immediately tell she wasn't expecting to see him, especially after everything Tori told her about the breakup. Khalil, however, is very happy to see her, considering the last time they were together didn't exactly go well.

Breonna eventually comes back with some good news. She was able to speak with Preach, but he's being held at a facility VERY far away. And the worst part? The agent who took him used to be a police officer who was let go for using excessive force.

That definitely doesn't make me feel better! Coop isn't really feeling Breonna's input, and the tension between them keeps growing throughout the episode. Breonna is trying to offer her professional insight, but Coop is so focused on finding Amina and Preach that she isn't really hearing her.

KJ meets up with his father and Jordan, only to get ambushed by the reporter. After answering a few questions, his father interrupts with a loud outburst and sends the reporters packing. Miranda later asks Khalil to take a break, but he makes the mistake of saying that Amina is the priority right now.

And yeah...that didn't go over well. Miranda leaves the room, but not before heading into the kitchen where she talks to Breonna. Breonna lets it slip that Amina could have stood down during the ICE raid, and Khalil overhears the entire conversation.

CW DRAMA!

Jordan goes home and tells Layla that KJ left in the middle of his argument with Cassius. Meanwhile, Breonna is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the way Coop is treating her. You can tell she feels some type of way about how happy Coop seems over every little thing Jordan and Layla do compared to everything Breonna has been doing to help.

Miranda eventually leaves, saying she can't keep catching strays, but thankfully, the group tracks down the judge they're looking for. Breonna has a judge of her own, and I actually loved how Coop handled herself in this situation. She was a little fiery at first, but she eventually gained her composure and made her case.

Back at Crenshaw, KJ finds Macy, and they have a heart-to-heart about being there for Amina when she comes home.

Then we get one of my favorite moments of the episode. As Coop and Breonna wait for word about Amina, Patience shows up at the door. This reunion was so nice to see. Coop starts opening up to Patience about how she feels like she wasn't there when Shaun needed her or when his mom went to prison. She feels like she was so busy trying to level up that she wasn't there when Preach and Amina needed her the most.

We even get a flashback of Patience and little Amina during this conversation, which made the whole thing hit even harder.

Then Breonna comes back with the news. THE JUDGE CALLED. They go to pick Amina up, and honestly, this was the most powerful moment of the episode. Amina runs straight into Coop's arms, and we're treated to another flashback of little Amina and Coop.

She loves her Auntie Coop. And I love their love! But getting Amina out doesn't mean everything is over. They still have to figure out how to get Preach out, and that is going to take some work.

Coop asks Breonna if they can make something happen that night, but that leads to a huge argument. Breonna has finally had enough of Coop throwing punches at her all day when all she has been trying to do is help. Coop doesn't want to have an "adult conversation," so she walks away.

Breonna goes to see Patience, and we find out that Breonna was actually the one who called Patience. Patience gives her some good advice about how to handle the situation and assures her that Coop really does love her.

Meanwhile, KJ comes to visit Amina just to keep her company. He's there for her when she needs someone, and I really like what they're doing with these two. Then Jordan and Cassius get some bad news. The Beverly walkout was considered a violation, and the football team could potentially be suspended.

Meaning... NO SHOWCASE! KJ comforts Amina while she's sitting in the shower crying, and that's where the episode ends.

Honestly, this storyline is INSANE, but in the best way possible. There are so many different things happening between Amina and Preach, Coop and Breonna, KJ and Khalil, Jordan and Cassius, and now the possibility of the showcase being canceled.

And somehow, All American keeps finding ways to make me want to see what happens next. How has the season been for you so far?
