After Joan denies Amy’s request to get Claire a medical flight back to her clinic in Mexico, Claire smuggles in her next dose. Amy, unable to stand by, gives her the injection herself. The move nearly kills Claire and earns Amy a double scolding from Jake and Joan. Not exactly the kind of teamwork the hospital likes to promote. But here’s the thing, Amy’s reckless decision feels less like a wild card play and more like a desperate act of empathy. She sees herself in Claire, another woman fighting to reclaim a stolen version of her life. It’s messy. It’s personal. It’s Doc  at its best. Memories, Kisses, and Complicated Men While Amy’s medical decisions are blowing up in real time, her TMS treatments are triggering a flood of painful memories. She recalls overhearing Sonya’s confession about Jake, then a bombshell flashback of Jake telling her he loved her on the day of the accident. This triggers a steamy kiss between the two that feels equal parts longing and emotional wreckage. Michael, Amy’s ex and current headache, is also caught in the memory web. His wife Nora picks up on his guilt, and his discomfort suggests he may be hiding something major. Molly Parker wasn’t kidding when she said not everyone around Amy is a reliable narrator. And honestly, that’s what makes this memory mystery so addictive. Joan’s Secret Illness Changes Everything Just when you’re ready to crown Joan as the new villain of Season 2, the writers pull the rug out. In a private moment, she reveals to Amy that she’s been diagnosed with MDS, a blood disorder that could progress to leukemia. Suddenly, Joan’s obsession with control looks a lot more like survival. It’s a killer twist that adds complexity to a character we were this  close to hating. Amy’s response? Classic Amy. Supportive but clinical, reminding Joan that if her hands start to tremble, she won’t be able to operate anymore. Ouch. “New Blood” is arguably the best episode of Doc  Season 2 so far. It’s layered, character-driven, and unafraid to put its flawed heroes in impossible situations. Joan’s leadership is a ticking time bomb, Amy’s memory lane is full of emotional landmines, and the hospital’s upcoming evaluation promises more cuts than a scalpel in surgery. With the tension climbing and every character walking the line between personal and professional chaos, Doc  is fully back in its chaotic groove. Nobody enjoys going to the DMV. It’s a bureaucratic wasteland filled with fluorescent lighting, dead-eyed customers, and the slowest printers on Earth. But CBS’s new workplace comedy DMV  takes that universally dreaded experience and spins it into something unexpectedly delightful. And no, I’m not being sarcastic. DMV  actually made me laugh. Out loud. More than once. In this comedy climate, that alone deserves a standing ovation. The series follows a quirky crew working at the fictional East Hollywood DMV branch, where the stakes are low, the customers are cranky, and the employees are somehow still functioning. It’s a premise that shouldn’t work or, at the very least, should feel tired. We’ve seen a wave of workplace comedies in the last few years ( Animal Control , Superstore , Abbott Elementary ) and the formula is well-worn at this point. But DMV  finds a way to inject just enough heart, charm, and sharp comedic timing to feel fresh. Harriet Dyer ( The InBetween ) leads the pack as Colette, a well-meaning driving examiner whose overly sunny disposition is both hilarious and oddly comforting. She’s the emotional center of the show, grounding the chaos with genuine likability. Dyer’s performance is a standout, effortlessly funny, warm without being cloying, and blessed with impeccable timing. Then there’s Tim Meadows, doing exactly what Tim Meadows does best: delivering dry, world-weary sarcasm with surgical precision. His character Gregg, a former English teacher now overseeing driving tests, brings a healthy dose of cynicism to balance out Colette’s optimism. The push-pull between the two creates a dynamic that’s lowkey electric, the kind of thing that could carry the show for seasons, if CBS gives it a real shot. And don’t sleep on the rest of the ensemble. Alex Tarrant is laid-back and oddly magnetic as Noa, the DMV’s resident surfer dude. Tony Cavalero brings big bouncer energy to Vic, a guy who probably enjoys denying driver's licenses way too much. Molly Kearney (fresh off SNL ) plays new manager Barbara with chaotic “trying-too-hard” energy, and Gigi Zumbado steals scenes as Ceci, the counter employee who has absolutely no time for anyone’s nonsense. We’ve all been to the DMV. We’ve all wanted to scream into the void over a missing form or a forgotten document. The writers understand that and they mine those shared frustrations for comedy gold. One scene about Real ID regulations hit so close to home I almost paused the episode to check my calendar. Some viewers may say the humor leans on sitcom tropes, and they’re not wrong. But who cares if the jokes land? DMV  doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel. It just needs to be funny. And unlike most comedies on air right now, it is. We haven't seen those jokes with this cast, so I am not complaining, yet . Final Verdict : CBS’s DMV  isn’t breaking new ground, but it’s walking familiar territory with a confident stride and a killer cast. With Harriet Dyer and Tim Meadows leading the charge, this DMV trip is one worth taking and honestly, when’s the last time you said that? Recommendation : Tune in. Laugh. Maybe even remember to schedule that Real ID appointment.

Move over prestige dramas and recycled reboots, Prime Video is diving headfirst into the chaotic world of animated comedy with Kevin , and the cast is stacked with some serious comedic royalty. Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza, Whoopi Goldberg, and Amy Sedaris are leading the charge in this hilariously unhinged new adult series that promises to bring heart, humor, and a hefty dose of fur-covered existential crisis. Created by Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert, Kevin  tells the story of a neurotic tuxedo cat who ditches his cozy fourth-floor walk-up for the unpredictable world of post-breakup independence. Yes, you read that right. The cat leaves. Jason Schwartzman voices Kevin, a highly anxious but lovable feline who finds himself navigating single life at a pet rescue in Astoria Queens after his human owners call it quits. Think Fleabag  meets The Secret Life of Pets , only with more emotional baggage and fewer emotional support humans. Plaza voices Dana, the career-focused woman who ends the relationship and unintentionally sparks Kevin’s quarter-life cat crisis. The rescue is home to a bizarre lineup of animal personalities including Goldberg’s Cupcake, a feral hairless cat with zero shame and zero morals, Sedaris’s Brandi, a tiny Shih Tzu who clearly runs the show, and John Waters as Armando, a Persian cat who ditched humans for the freedom of the streets. Aparna Nancherla and Gil Ozeri round out the cast as a hopelessly romantic kitten and a too-kind rescue owner respectively. Produced by Titmouse and Amazon MGM Studios, Kevin  is shaping up to be Prime Video’s next animated gem. With a unique concept, a top-tier cast, and writing that leans into the absurdity of both pets and people, this series might just claw its way to the top of your watchlist. Ready to see the world through the eyes of a cat mid-breakup? Keep your ears perked and your calendar marked. Kevin  is coming, and it is not kitten around.

In a casting move that should delight fans of twisted crime tales and complicated men with badges, Sam Jaeger is heading from Gilead to the Florida Keys. The Handmaid’s Tale  and Parenthood  alum has officially signed on for a recurring role in Season 2 of Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey , the darkly comedic crime drama starring Vince Vaughn. Deadline was first to report. Apple is doubling down on its Carl Hiaasen-inspired chaos, and Jaeger’s arrival adds more heat to a series already packed with shady characters, morally questionable lawmen, and at least one extremely problematic monkey. Created by Ted Lasso  EP Bill Lawrence, Bad Monkey  follows disgraced Miami cop Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), who is exiled to the Keys as a health inspector and stumbles upon a murder case that just might get him reinstated. Season 1 took inspiration from Hiaasen’s novel, but Season 2 is charting fresh territory with an original story. That means new players, new villains, and yes, even more South Florida weirdness. Joining Vaughn and returning series regular John Ortiz is none other than John Malkovich, playing a powerful South Florida crime boss. Now, Jaeger enters the mix in an undisclosed recurring role, which is deliciously vague and already suspicious. Could he be law enforcement? A fellow ex-cop with an axe to grind? Or just another charmingly corrupt Florida man with a tan and a secret? We’re intrigued. This reunion between Jaeger and Yvonne Strahovski, his former Handmaid’s Tale  co-star, is also a treat for fans who watched them navigate dystopian trauma. Now, they’ll tackle Florida crime, which honestly might be worse. As Apple TV+ bets big on Bad Monkey  as a signature dark dramedy, the addition of Jaeger only strengthens its already stacked ensemble. Netflix has officially dropped the first trailer for The Witcher  Season 4, and the White Wolf is looking a little… different. Liam Hemsworth steps into Geralt of Rivia’s well-worn boots, replacing Henry Cavill, and let’s just say the Continent may never be the same. The trailer, fittingly titled “Rethink the Path,” gives fans their first real taste of Hemsworth’s brooding new take on the iconic monster slayer. Spoiler: he still snarls. The trailer kicks off with Geralt wandering through a fog-drenched forest and an expression that says, yes, I know I’m not Henry Cavill, now let me kill something . Within seconds, we’re thrown into a gritty brawl against a spider-like creature that forces Hemsworth’s Geralt to use the classic sword before ending the beast. If Netflix was looking to make a statement, consider it made: Hemsworth’s Geralt is here, and he is not playing around. Replacing Henry Cavill was never going to be easy. The fandom has practically knighted the man for his commitment to the role and his deep knowledge of The Witcher  lore. But Cavill’s departure after Season 3 opened the door for Hemsworth, and whether you like it or not, the recast is canon now. Hemsworth sports the white hair, the scar, and yes, a slightly different growl, but the DNA of the character remains. Netflix is framing Season 4 as a rebirth not just for Geralt, but for the entire series. The storyline is expected to veer deeper into the political chaos of the Continent, with Geralt’s identity crisis mirroring the fractured world around him. Add in the fact that this is the penultimate season, and the stakes have never been higher. Oh, and Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as Regis, so there’s that little gem too. Fan reaction have been predictably split. Some are mourning the loss of Cavill’s grizzled gravitas, while others are cautiously optimistic, pointing out that Hemsworth might just surprise us all. Either way, it is clear that The Witcher  is not done swinging swords or stirring controversy. I’m coming in straight off the bat and saying this episode is my favorite of the season so far and definitely in my top 10 Brilliant Minds episodes. I’m sure the list will change as the season goes on but we are off to a good start. If I am being honest, without the ongoing mystery of why Wolf ends up in a mental hospital (none of that was touched on in this episode) the last two episodes weren’t that great.  “The Pusher” corrects that problem. We start off by seeing a woman get hit by a train and it appears that a man pushed her. That man is Adam, a non verbal adult with Autism. He becomes Wolf’s patient because Van’s ex, Michelle, is his social worker. The police believe he pushed his caregiver, Gloria on the subway. When she comes in, Jacob treats her under the watchful eye of Dr. Thorne. Jacob handles the treatment on his own and I think we are going to be losing him to the ER.  Wolf and team go above and beyond to help Adam. Van tries to use his superpower of Mirror Touch but it doesn’t work so Wolf sends him and Michelle to Adam’s apartment to look for clues. Once there, they speak to his roommate who informs them that Adam is upset he will age out of care and will have nowhere to go and that he and Gloria argued about it last week, further putting suspicion on Adam that he actually pushed Gloria. During this interaction, Van and Michelle are very flirty, which sucks for me because I want Van and Ericka back together.  Back at the hospital, the team is having a hard time making sense of Adam’s drawings and his speech. That is until Wolf cracks the code and Adam was trying to tell everyone that Gloria is sick. Turns out she has Lupus. She wakes up right after Adam is arrested and tells what happened. She fainted on the subway and Adam was trying to help her. Even more great news, Adam is released and will be living with Gloria full time. I love a “feel” good story.  But, the episode was packed full of drama. Turns out that Dana reported Carol to the medical board but wouldn’t tell Ericka her “reasons” and she spilled right when Ericka was finally going to come clean about taking pills. This will put the besties and roommates at odds because Ericka spent the whole episode trying to find out who reported Carol. As she pointed out Wolf gets away with whatever he wants but the minute a black woman does something, she is reported, stings that Dana was the one to do it. Speaking of pills, Ericka is hiding them in a mint can and Wolfe almost took one. She has to come clean soon. Dana had even more drama with her girlfriend who she feels is reckless and will get hurt, reminding her of her sister that she lost. Van tried to rekindle things with Michelle and was shot down, while sparks are flying between Carole and Thorne. Dr. Porter is still a jerk and Josh is the new Chief.  Whew, so much went down and I cannot wait for the next episode. What did you think? Drop a comment and vote in our poll.

Apparently, subtlety is still banned at the 118. 9-1-1  Season 9 is crashing back onto screens with emergency calls from space, billionaires in trouble, and enough emotional fallout to keep your group chat buzzing. ABC just dropped the official cast photos and early episode guide, confirming what fans suspected all along — this show has no plans to calm down. Between returning favorites, shocking exits, and plotlines that feel ripped from a disaster movie fever dream, the new season looks more chaos. The new cast photos confirm the return of fan favorites like Angela Bassett’s forever-fierce Athena Grant, Oliver Stark’s emotionally chaotic Buck, and Aisha Hinds as the unshakable Hen. Chimney is back too, stepping up as interim captain after Bobby’s death (yes, we’re still recovering). The dragons may be offscreen for now but HBO is far from done milking the golden teat that is Westeros. The next chapter in the ever-expanding Game of Thrones universe has an official launch window and fans of sword-swinging politics just got their next obsession. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms  will premiere in January 2026  and promises a very different flavor of Thrones. Less dragons, more chivalry. And yes, it’s still going to be messy. Set roughly 100 years before Ned Stark ever frowned onscreen, the series follows the unlikely duo of Ser Duncan the Tall  and his egg-headed squire Egg , who just so happens to be future king Aegon the Fifth. Based on George R R Martin’s beloved Tales of Dunk and Egg  novellas, the spinoff trades Red Weddings and wildfire explosions for a more intimate, boots-on-the-ground Westeros. Still violent? Absolutely. But it’s shaping up to be less “existential ice zombie apocalypse” and more “a knight and a secret prince walk into a political powder keg.” According to HBO execs, the first season will run six episodes , and production is already underway. Series creator Ira Parker has teased a more grounded tone compared to Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. So, maybe fewer dragons and incest, more loyalty and betrayal. But let's not get too wholesome. It is still Westeros. This move is part of HBO’s strategy to keep the Thrones franchise alive without exhausting its audience. With House of the Dragon  Season 3 also targeting 2026, fans should brace for a very Targaryen-heavy year.
