Unlike The Rookie: Feds , which was folded directly into the main show, The Rookie: North  is taking a more independent route and that decision alone already signals a tonal shift. A New Rookie, A New Kind of Crisis Ellis stars as Alex Holland, a man who believed he had successfully dodged a midlife crisis until life proved otherwise. The first episode of Season 4 begins five months later with a sad reminder of Will’s beginnings. It progresses and shows how Will’s life has changed. He got a new Dad and a large, noisy, ready-made family that seasons their food with an excessive amount of salt. Will’s now really attending therapy sessions with a great therapist. You can tell how much she’s helped him. Angie is pregnant and has moved on to a loving relationship with Dr. Seth.  YYYAAaayyy, Michael Ormewood is alive undergoing tumor treatment. Amanda’s Back, too. So happy they weren't killed off the show. This episode is also directed by Ramón Rodríguez Old Memories, New Beginnings, Salt and Shark Eyeballs Will and Betty visit the Holy Grail Children' s Home where he grew up. It’s closed now, and Will still harbors bad memories of the time he spent there, as is shown by his actions. He picks up rocks and throws them at the now abandoned home, damaging the sign and the glass door. Poor Betty watches, frightened. A swift scene switch shows Will dressed in his trademark vest and smiling, talking to Dr, Roach on a pickleball court. He’s great, so he says, until she hits him with a pickleball. He’s perturbed and questions the reasoning for having his therapy session outside at the court. Dr. Roach explains why, as Betty looks on. She’s trying to get him to stop repressing his feelings. Of course, Will disagrees with her. Dr. Roach distracts by asking about Angie. She’s not convinced, and Will’s doing just ‘fine’, but not really. Dr. Roach is satisfied with his expressing true feelings. Will quickly regains his control. They talk about his new relationship with his real Dad. Will is uncomfortable with his new family and tries to talk himself out of being with them. You can tell Dr. Roach is an experienced and skilled therapist by the way she gets Will to open up. He’s still a bit resistant, but making baby steps to improving himself. Will, Nico and Betty go to the Russard Family dinner. Will suddenly has a large new family he needs to get to know. Nico fits right in, Betty sits peacefully observing, and she has a friend. Will is not so comfy. Nico’s updating the family on his latest unique antics. The extreme salt usage at his family’s dinner table is the focus of his attention when his nephew informs him about shark eyeballs. They agree to go learn more about sharks, and leave the noisy dinner table.   Calvin shows Uncle Will his Sharktastic Book, and teaches him about sharks. He also tells him about his biggest fear. Beluga Caviar and A Bloody Escape James Ulster is still in prison and now giving pointers on extravagant, luxurious foods in their foodie club. Today’s lesson is on beluga caviar, and he introduces one of his inmate members, Reed Hobbs, to beluga caviar on a potato chip. The guard, Jerry Ramston, is also a member and loves the new food. Ulster makes him a sample of caviar on a chip next. Everything looks aboveboard, but it’s not. Things get violent and bloody here. They escape. He’s Alive ! In a room, Franklin is fussing about the tv not working as Faith enters with a bottle of water for Michael  Ormewood! Yaayyy! He wasn’t killed off. He sits in the room, eating a popsicle watching Franklin, as he receives his tumor medication treatment. He’s looking goofy for a reason, and still has the ability to verbally spar with Faith. Franklin gets the tv working, but with one issue that could teach them all a new language.  Baby Makes Three, Avocado Toast and Rings Angie sits eating Chinese food on the floor of their baby’s new nursery. Dr. Seth paints the wall with a color he finds jubilant. He has something extra, a ring. She freaks out, but it doesn’t deter him. He tells her how he truly feels about her, and Angie opens the ring box. She tells him she can’t wear it at work. He knows, and gives her another engagement ring to wear to work. Angie’s overjoyed and they kiss.  Prison Break Investigation and Steak Faith and Will get to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI), and head to their office. They were already briefed on James Ulster’s escape. He’s a nightmare from Will’s past, who killed his mother.  Sheriff Roussard is already in the squad room, updating and tasking the police officers. Will questions his right to be there. Roussard’s running point on the escape, because the prison is in his jurisdiction. The GBI wants him to coordinate with the Marshals and GDC. Will asks the Assistant Director, Bill Appleyard, to ask why the GBI is not heading this case. He accuses him of shirking his responsibilities to get the deputy director job. Amanda enters and tells Will the coordination was her decision. YES!  Amanda is ALIVE, but not so well. She’s well enough to come and tell Will to stand down, and why.  She knows he’s too close to the case. Will’s temper explodes and tells them why he should be on the case. Faith drags him out of the office. Will thinks Amanda is undermining him. Faith leads him down the hall, into a newly constructed room where Ormewood sits. He’s got a whole new head of hair, a side effect of his tumor treatment. He gruffily questions their abrupt entrance into his domain.  Faith asks him for help on the downlow, because they were thrown off the case.  They need to find out where to find Ulster and Reed Hobbs. They have to do it old school, and make lots of calls. Ormewood’s tiny office fills up fast. Franklin and Angie come in to get snacks and Angie questions Will in his overdoing her police protection detail. What’s ADP-GBI Gossip Group Chat? Why is Will Not on it?  Crime Scene Investigation Continues and Final Conclusive Capture?  Later, at 3 a.m., after Will and Faith discuss their lack of progress, Ormewood enters Will’s office with another folder of paperwork. They stop to have some fun. Ormewood gets Faith to do a cute trick. Will’s just frustrated, and they return to the list of new names Ormewood brought them. He finds a name that might help lead them to Ulster. At that very location, Ulster is there with Reed having dinner.  Reed sits in shock, with bloodied hands, while Ulster eats his steak dinner. There’s a phone ringing and he goes to answer. It’s Will.  He keeps him on the phone long enough to trace the call. Will asks if he harmed anyone.  Does Ulster tell him the truth?  Will and Faith leave to find them. Ulster tells Will he just wants his freedom, and to catch him if he can. Will and Faith get to the diner, but Ulster and Reed are gone. She tells Will to do his special investigative, attention detail, sleuthing before the marshals get there. Will notices strange things and is able to surmise what really led to them. He records his findings. Ulster is in the background of his mind commenting while he recreates what really happened, and determines who the real killer was.   Another moment to alleviate the previous dark scenes was with Ormewood calling Angie and Franklin into his makeshift office. Franklin and Angie were discussing her cravings. He found a video from Janice-Theresa Weggle. She adds a piece to the puzzle of their case. What is it?  Do they find James Ulster and Reed Hobbs? Does Ormewood change emotionally? What’s the stakeout rule? Does Angie finally share her engagement news with everyone? How many fiancées does James Ulster have?  What happens in a nursing home?  Do the fiancées help find Ulster?  What does Ulster do with Calvin?  What choice does Ulster make?   (Disney/Lynsey Weatherspoon) IANTHA RICHARDSON, JAKE MCLAUGHLIN, KEVIN DANIELS What a surprise ending! The Will Trent Show returned with the same excellence left by the last season, and directed by Ramón Rodríguez . The scene transitions were synchronous with a certain style. The camera circling on characters outside the nursing home gives it a real feel. The acting  and writing are perfectly on point, and  they didn’t miss a beat with the humorous moments. The first transitions  seemed to focus on family and food, creating a slightly relaxing mood, except where Will was concerned. You could tell everything centered around him. So glad to see Amanda and Ormewood made it. Angie is finally happy, Will is making progress and has a brand new family. It was cute to see Will relate to his new nephew and how his nephew trusted him. It was a moment that helped heal Will from a previous accidental shooting. The loving, adorable moment was one shared by Angie and Dr. Seth when he asked her to marry him. Another cute moment was Amanda’s surprise appearance at her office to cool down Will. Also have to add Ormewood and Franklin’s moments at the tumor treatment room and Ormewood’s fake office. Franklin’s interrogation of Janice-Theresa was a sensation, Faith’s elevator trick brought needed laughter after the previous bloody moments, and some more soon to follow. The Fight of the Fiancées was too funny. There was an intensely excellent scene with Amanda and Faith outside the nursing home. This episode kept you constantly wondering what was happening next.  This season is starting off with a superb episode. The only downside was that it was a little too violent and bloody for children. The Will Trent Show came Roaring BACK! Loved this episode and gave it 4.95 Stars out of 5!

Eva, caught off guard by Kat’s presence, is quickly outmatched when Kat finally stops playing checkers and starts playing chess. Kat casually references her childhood traditions, knowing that these were things that Eva missed out on. Elsewhere, Hayley’s plans against Bill hit a setback when a property deal in St. Bart’s falls through, while Ashley continues to place a strain on Derek. The week’s emotional centerpiece arrives when Vernon surprises Anita with a Christmas serenade. Unbeknownst to him, Nicole and Dani were moments away from telling Anita about rumors of his involvement with Sharon—information Nicole learned from Ted, who heard it from Leslie. Vernon’s serenading of Anita stopped them in their tracks and it is revealed that he had been getting singing lessons from Sharon.  Romance also finds its way into the holiday. Eva and Izaiah move closer, though Eva remains hesitant, wanting to keep things light and slow. Ted is shown being supported by Kat and Shanice, who each bring him comfort in their own way on Christmas Day. Kat brings him his favorite pizza while Shanice brings him her famous lemon cheesecake. The Christmas episodes stood out for their warmth and focus on the Dupree family, grounding the drama in heartfelt moments rather than focusing on the spectacle that is Leslie. Nicole and Dani are deeply shaken, while their daughters remain unaware, lost in New Year’s Eve celebrations. The episode is set against a soulful musical backdrop provided by Kenny Lattimore. Andre becomes a source of support for Dani, who resolves to tell Bill what is happening. However, instead of informing her daughters first, Dani chooses to confide in Bill, a decision that frustrated her daughters and viewers. Nicole shares the medical reality with Martin and Kat, explaining that if she tests positive, they will also need to be tested. Martin agrees without hesitation, but Kat refuses, unwilling to face what the results might reveal. Anita begins treatment preparations with the placement of a chemo port. When Chelsea and Naomi accidentally overhear her discussing the diagnosis with Vernon, Anita is forced to break the news to them herself. The week ends on a hopeful note as Ted and Shanice share a New Year’s kiss, while the Dupree family unites around Anita, pledging their support as she begins her fight. A Strong Close to the Year While Winterfest failed to deliver the impact viewers may have hoped for, Beyond the Gates  finished 2025 on a much stronger note. The holiday episodes restored emotional balance to the show by centering its storytelling on the Dupree family, deepening character relationships, and setting up major arcs for Season Two.

Disney+ continues its hot streak with Percy Jackson and the Olympians  Season 2 and Episode 6, “Nobody Gets the Fleece,” is yet another banger that proves this series knows exactly what it’s doing. High stakes, messy emotions and a few genuinely shocking character choices collide in an episode that feels like a turning point, not just for the quest, but for Percy himself. Even as someone who hasn’t read The Sea of Monsters  yet (and has only just cracked open book one), this episode works beautifully on its own terms. There’s something refreshing about watching this story unfold without knowing what’s supposed to happen next. The show leans into that unpredictability, especially here, where alliances blur and no one feels entirely safe. Annabeth, Luke, and the Art of Emotional Warfare PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS - “Episode 206” (Disney/David Bukach) CHARLIE BUSHNELL The fractured relationship between Annabeth and Luke remains one of the most compelling threads of the season and “Nobody Gets the Fleece” pushes that tension into dangerous new territory. Every conversation between them feels loaded, like a chess match where both players are convinced they’re one move away from winning. Is Annabeth getting through to Luke? Or is Luke playing her the entire time? The episode smartly refuses to give easy answers. There are moments where Luke seems genuinely conflicted, where the cracks in his allegiance to the Titan start to show. And then, just as quickly, he snaps back into place, reminding us why trusting him feels like a gamble no one should be taking. That uncertainty is what makes these scenes sing. You can never quite tell who’s manipulating who and the show milks that ambiguity for all it’s worth. Clarisse Continues to Be a Standout Clarisse has quietly become one of the strongest characters in Percy Jackson  Season 2 and Episode 6 gives her plenty of room to shine. Her internal struggle: wanting to complete the mission at all costs while clearly growing attached to Percy, Annabeth and Grover is handled with surprising nuance. She’s still sharp-edged and mission-focused, but the armor is cracking. The way she balances duty with emerging compassion adds real emotional weight to the episode. Clarisse isn’t just along for the ride; she’s driving major story decisions and the show is better for it. Polyphemus, Panic and Percy Losing It Of course, the episode’s most unforgettable moments come once Polyphemus enters the picture. The confrontation is tense, chaotic and genuinely stressful, culminating in Annabeth being seriously injured. It’s a gut punch that immediately changes the energy of the episode and Percy’s behavior. Percy crashes out. Fully. And honestly? It makes perfect sense. In a move that feels both reckless and heartbreakingly sincere, Percy insists that Clarisse give up the Golden Fleece to Luke so it can be used to heal Annabeth. When Clarisse refuses, Percy doesn’t argue. He takes the fleece from her and gives it to Luke himself, prioritizing Annabeth over the mission, Olympus and literally everything else. It’s a bold, emotionally charged decision that defines Percy’s character in a way words never could. This isn’t about prophecies or gods anymore. This is about love, loyalty and drawing a very clear line in the sand. Luke fleeing with Annabeth should feel like a loss and it is but it also raises the stakes heading into the next chapter. Percy meant what he said last episode: he would let Olympus burn for Annabeth. Episode 6 proves that wasn’t hyperbole. Tyson to the Rescue Just when things feel completely hopeless, Tyson arrives. His fight with Polyphemus is another edge-of-your-seat sequence, delivering action without losing sight of the emotional core. After freeing Clarisse, Percy and Grover from the cave, the mission shifts once again. Now it’s no longer about the fleece, it’s about saving Annabeth. And suddenly, everything feels personal. "We get them back." PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS "Episode 206" (Disney/David Bukach) DIOR GOODJOHN, ARYAN SIMHADRI, WALKER SCOBELL “Nobody Gets the Fleece” thrives because it trusts its characters and its audience. It allows messy choices, unresolved emotions and real consequences. For non-book readers, it’s thrilling and unpredictable. For longtime fans, it’s likely packed with meaning and callbacks. Either way, it lands. With strong performances, sharp writing and character-driven drama, Percy Jackson  Season 2 Episode 6 stands as one of the series’ strongest installments yet. Doc is back, and we have missed you. Season 2, Episode 10 wastes no time diving straight into chaos when a man is dumped in front of the emergency room. Enter Craig from Degrassi (aka Tim) , who everyone thought had been dead for four months after going missing for seven years. The twist? Tim isn’t just lost, he’s living with schizophrenia , which brings Gina  to the forefront of this episode’s medical drama. Gina is one of my favorite characters and watching her take the lead in such a complex case is an absolute treat. Her interactions with Michael  are electric, especially their back-and-forth over the leaked therapy session. Michael is adamant Gina should lose her license but we all know he’s just upset because Gina is speaking uncomfortable truths he doesn’t want to hear. Meanwhile, Michael’s personal life is a hot mess. He leaves a message for Nora , then decides to just show up at her doorstep, only to be shut down. Nora makes it clear: she’s done and she’ll text him a schedule for the baby. On the romantic front, Amy and Jake  deliver some much-needed fan service with a steamy moment in bed. They are hands down the best pairing on the show and seeing them navigate their personal life amidst hospital chaos never gets old. But the workday intrudes fast, as Amy jumps back into drama determined to find out who hacked her hospital accounts. The Wonder Twins storyline , Clark and her brother’s revenge plot is starting to wear thin, but the stakes are serious. They’re putting patients at risk and it gets chilling when Clark’s brother uses an AI program to replicate Amy’s voice. One fake message ends up in the hands of Amy’s daughter, Katie , who, instead of deleting it, obsessively replays it. The tension here is palpable and you can’t help but worry about how this will spiral. Amy’s collaboration with Sonya  continues to drive drama and yes, it’s working my nerves. Sonya’s jealousy over Jake is off the charts, especially with TJ right there offering support (and looking fine while doing it). Her pettiness adds tension, but it’s also frustrating like, calm down girl, you lost the guy, move on. Still, the friction sets up one of the episode’s major confrontations later on. Medical cases escalate quickly. Jake and TJ are called to a 16-year-old female patient named Shannon found unresponsive in her bed . Her mother thought she was studying at home, but Shannon had removed her location. As a mom of a teen, I was sweating this scene. Turns out Shannon, along with Tim and Chris, had all been exposed to the same dangerous substance while Chris and Shannon were helping Tim who was pinned under a beam at an abandoned house. TJ suits up in a hazmat outfit to investigate and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The consequences hit hard. While treatment begins, Chris tragically loses his pulse. Amy steps out with the parents and the father begins to pray, prompting Amy to flash back to when she learned of her own son’s death. The scene is gut-wrenching. Chris is pronounced dead, which sparks a confrontation we’ve been waiting for: Amy lashes out at Sonya, blaming her for delaying a scan on Tim that might have prevented this. Flashbacks in the episode also reveal Scott Wolf’s return and Amy’s decision to pursue the Chief r ole, providing deeper context for her ambition and leadership arc. Joan’s support here is important, though I still don’t fully trust her motives. The episode ends with Clark and her brother crying over the death caused by their reckless AI revenge plot. Honestly, their tears don’t inspire much sympathy, they made the choices that endangered patients and the consequences are severe. Overall, Doc Season 2 Episode 10  is a powerful, emotional ride. From the hack drama, Amy and Jake’s chemistry to the heartbreak of Chris’ death, this episode blends intense medical emergencies, personal tension and high-stakes hospital drama. It’s an episode that makes you laugh, cry and scream at the screen in equal measure. Emotional storytelling, flawed but compelling characters and high-stakes scenarios make this one of the strongest episodes of Doc yet. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a minute.
