đŸ“ș What to Watch Tonight: July 13, 2025 The Gilded Age Has Drama, Love Island Crowns a Winner & The Institute Gets Creepy

A woman in a vintage dress with lace trim and a brooch stands indoors, looking thoughtful. Ornate decor is blurred in the background.

Welcome back to The TV Cave, where we sift through the sea of streaming, cable, and drama (on and off screen) to give you the only guide you’ll ever need. It's Sunday, July 13, and whether you're here for savage reality twists, moody period dramas, or an electric eel sighting (yes, really), we’ve got you covered.

What to Watch

⚟ 6:00 PM ET – MLB Draft 2025 (Rounds 1–3)

Where: ESPN

It’s baseball’s biggest job fair, live from Atlanta. The MLB Draft kicks off with early rounds and questionable suit choices. If you miss it, don’t worry — the marathon resumes Monday online. Yes, they stretch this thing out like it's the Oscars.

đŸ’Ș 7:00 PM ET – WWE: Evolution

Where: Peacock

Wrestling fans, grab your snacks and stretch your necks — it’s time to look up at the ropes! IYO SKY puts her title on the line against Rhea Ripley, while Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria bring their own chaos to the ring. Expect flying bodies, wild entrances, and someone crying in the locker room afterward.

🏠 8:00 PM ET – Big Brother

Where: CBS

Season’s heating up and the paranoia is THICK. Tonight, the houseguests are trying to root out an "accomplice" and the first nominees of the season are named. Let the plotting, whispering, and fake alliances begin!

đŸ˜± 8:00 PM ET – Patience (Penultimate Episode)

Where: PBS

A body vanishes from the morgue (um, red flag?), and our lead has a deeply personal connection to the case. With only one episode left, expect tension, mystery, and at least one emotionally charged monologue. You know how PBS does it.

đŸŽ© 9:00 PM ET – The Gilded Age

Woman in vintage attire reads a newspaper in an ornate room with patterned wallpaper. She holds a monocle, creating a focused mood.

Where: HBO

Bertha’s name is getting dragged in the press, and guess who’s just shown up to stir the pot? Her sister Monica. Meanwhile, Borden uncovers more about Mrs. Bruce, and no, it’s not flattering. Lace up your corset — the drama is layered tonight.

🚔 9:00 PM ET – Grantchester

Where: PBS

Leonard wakes up in jail after a night out goes south, and it’s not just a hangover he has to worry about. The aftermath spirals into something bigger — because of course it does. British drama at its finest: repressed, emotional, and a bit tragic.

đŸ‘¶ 9:00 PM ET – The Institute (Series Premiere – 2 Episodes)

Where: MGM+

Stephen King wants you to sleep with the lights on. A 12-year-old genius wakes up in a mysterious facility filled with other kids who have... let’s just say unusual skills. It’s unsettling, it’s intense, and Mary-Louise Parker is here to raise your blood pressure.

đŸŽ€ 9:00 PM ET – Live Aid: When Rock 'n' Roll Took on the World

Where: CNN

Break out your vintage tees: CNN takes us backstage and onstage for the 40th anniversary of Live Aid. Expect goosebumps, glam, and the kind of behind-the-scenes footage that’ll make you wish you were born a roadie in the ‘80s.

💘 9:00 PM ET – Love Island: USA – Season 7 Finale

Where: Peacock

Time to find out which hot couple takes the money and (maybe) the romance. After a season full of tan lines, fake tears, and “I’m here for the right reasons” energy, only one pair walks away with the big bucks.

🌮 9:00 PM ET – Love Island: Beyond the Villa (Series Premiere)

Where: Peacock

As if the villa wasn’t messy enough, now the Islanders are trying to survive the real world — aka Los Angeles. Spoiler alert: the drama doesn’t stop just because the cameras do (and don’t worry, these cameras definitely don’t).

🐍 9:00 PM ET – Nautilus

Where: AMC

The crew stumbles onto what looks like a deserted island. But this isn’t Survivor — it's Nautilus, and one of them gets snatched by shipwreck survivors. Oh, and did we mention the giant electric eel? Nemo, you’ve got your hands full.

⚟ 9:00 PM ET – Southpaw: The Life and Legacy of Jim Abbott

Where: ESPN

Get ready to feel feelings. This powerful doc tells the story of Jim Abbott, a pitcher who made MLB history — with only one hand. It’s inspirational, emotional, and absolutely worth your time (and tissues).

💰 10:00 PM ET – Billionaire Boys Club

Where: CNN

Rich kids. Shady investments. A true crime implosion. CNN’s docuseries pulls the curtain back on Joe Hunt and his high-rolling crew whose ambition turned criminal. Greed really is the OG villain.

🛾 11:00 PM ET – Rick and Morty

Where: Adult Swim

Jerry makes a new pal who’s just as unemployed and aimless as he is. Bless. This late-night episode brings the usual intergalactic nonsense and existential dread we’ve come to love/hate from Rick and Morty.

đŸ›‹ïž TL;DR – Tonight’s Must-Watch Picks:

  • Big Brother: House drama starts to boil.

  • The Institute: Creepy kids and Stephen King vibes.

  • Love Island Finale: Who wins the love (and the money)?

  • The Gilded Age: More high society shade from HBO.

  • Rick and Morty: Jerry being Jerry.

Stay tuned to The TV Cave every night for your daily dose of drama, laughs, reality TV showdowns, and streaming surprises. You worry about finding the remote — we’ll worry about finding what’s worth watching.
