‘Tulsa King’ Season 4 Sets October Premiere as Dwight Faces a Crushing Personal Loss

Dwight Manfredi is coming back this fall, and apparently nobody told his enemies that this man has already been through enough.

Paramount+ has announced that Tulsa King Season 4 will premiere Friday, October 16, with Sylvester Stallone returning as Dwight. The streamer also released the official teaser and first-look images from the upcoming season, and if Dwight thought building his empire was difficult, keeping it might be an entirely different story.

This time around, Dwight is attempting to do something that almost sounds reasonable: legitimize his empire and protect his crew. Look at the General trying to become a respectable businessman! Unfortunately, corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies and a devastating personal loss are about to make that considerably more complicated.

Dwight Is Trying to Go Legit — Sure, Sir

According to Paramount+, Season 4 will force Dwight to confront some hard truths about loyalty, leadership and the cost of ambition as every victory brings another problem along with it.

The biggest question may surround the “crushing personal loss” teased in the official synopsis. Paramount+ isn't saying exactly what happens or who that loss could involve, so we're not about to start putting anybody in a fictional casket just yet. Still, those three words are enough to have us looking at Dwight's entire crew a little differently heading into the new season.

Meanwhile, Dwight's efforts to build something legitimate aren't exactly helping him leave his old life behind. Instead, the mounting threats begin pulling him back toward the street instincts he developed in New York.

Come on now. Did anybody really think Dwight Manfredi was going to fill out some paperwork, become completely respectable and spend the season peacefully running his businesses? Exactly.

Tulsa Is About to Become a Battleground

As Dwight gets pulled further into his old ways, Tulsa becomes a battleground, and the General himself emerges as someone his enemies can't afford to underestimate.

That's especially interesting after watching Dwight spend the first three seasons building a crew and creating a life for himself far away from New York. Season 4 appears ready to test not only whether he can hold onto everything he's built, but how much of himself he's willing to sacrifice to keep it.

Stallone once again leads the cast alongside Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak and Neal McDonough, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.

There will also be a new face in Tulsa. Gretchen Mol joins Season 4 as a series regular, although Paramount+ is keeping details about her character under wraps for now. OK, you have our attention.

Terence Winter serves as head writer and executive producer. Taylor Sheridan, Sylvester Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly and Keith Cox also executive produce. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.

With Dwight trying to legitimize his empire while seemingly being pushed further back into the world he's attempting to escape, Season 4 could put everything he's built on the line.

And that “crushing personal loss” tease? Yeah, Paramount+, we're going to need you to explain yourselves eventually.
