Your daily dose of TV chaos, touchdowns, touchdowns of emotion, and maybe a rogue baking royal.

🏈 DAYTIME DOMINATION: FOOTBALL TAKES OVER YOUR TV

Cancel your plans, grab your snacks, and prepare for a gridiron marathon, because the football gods have blessed every network with wall-to-wall matchups today.

ABC kicks things off at 12 PM with Ole Miss vs. Oklahoma, the kind of SEC-meets-Big-12 drama we love to see. Then it’s Alabama vs. South Carolina at 3:30 PM (expect Nick Saban memes aplenty), and Texas A&M vs. LSU closes the night at 7:30 PM — aka the “somebody’s definitely yelling at their TV” game.

CBS throws down with Minnesota vs. Iowa (3:30 PM) — classic Big Ten football where field goals feel like major life achievements.

Meanwhile, The CW — yes, that CW — keeps its sports streak going with SMU vs. Wake Forest (12 PM) and Toledo vs. Washington State (3:30 PM). Who knew the network known for vampires and superheroes would become the home for scrappy Saturday football?

ESPN is busy as always: Syracuse vs. Georgia Tech (12 PM), Missouri vs. Vanderbilt (3:30 PM), Stanford vs. Miami (7 PM), and Colorado vs. Utah (10:15 PM). That’s four games and roughly eight hours of your life you’ll never get back — but worth it.

Fox delivers UCLA vs. Indiana (12 PM) and BYU vs. Iowa State (3:30 PM) before handing off to NBC, which saves the juiciest rivalry for primetime: Michigan vs. Michigan State at 7:30 PM. Expect intensity, tears, and probably one very angry coach press conference.

PRIMETIME PICK: WORLD SERIES GAME 2 – DODGERS VS. BLUE JAYS

7 PM | FOX The Fall Classic continues as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays go head-to-head in Game 2. LA’s pitching machine vs. Toronto’s home-run parade? Yes, please. Baseball purists and casuals alike will find something to scream at here.

🎄 HOLIDAY MOVIES, HILARIOUS DINNERS, AND A LIFETIME OF FEELS

8 PM | GREAT AMERICAN FAMILY “A Royal Icing Christmas” — A runaway princess discovers small-town love via a baking contest. It’s royal frosting meets Hallmark-core chaos, and honestly, we’re here for it.

8 PM | TBS “Dinner and a Movie” — The cult-favorite combo show is back, and tonight they’re cooking with ghosts — 1988’s Beetlejuice takes center stage. Dinner and deadpan? Iconic.

8 PM | HALLMARK CHANNEL “Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!” — Robert Buckley and Kimberley Sustad make small-town Christmas look like a designer snow globe. Predictable? Yes. Adorable? Also yes.

8 PM | LIFETIME “Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie” — Garcelle Beauvais brings emotional fire to this timely thriller about family, resilience, and the power of community. Not your average Lifetime movie — this one matters.

🗞️ LATE-NIGHT BITES: NEWS, NOTES, AND NOTES THAT SING

9 PM | CNN “Have I Got News for You” — Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and comedian Paula Poundstone join the chaos for a panel that promises both wit and political whiplash.

11 PM | PBS “Austin City Limits” — Wrap up your night with Charley Crockett and Waxahatchee bringing twang, truth, and talent to the PBS stage. A chill end to a jam-packed Saturday.

🍿 BOTTOM LINE: WHAT TO WATCH

  • Sports fans: Flip between Michigan vs. Michigan State and Dodgers vs. Blue Jays.

  • Cozy crowd: Hallmark’s got your holiday heartstrings covered.

  • True TV lovers: Hit PBS at 11 for some real artistry to cleanse the palette.

Because at The TV Cave, we don’t just watch TV — we live it, critique it, and occasionally yell at it.
