Another day, another stacked night of television. Whether you’re in the mood to binge something prestige-y at 3 a.m. (no judgment), catch live sports, or let drag queens and game shows carry you into the weekend, tonight’s lineup has range. Here’s your Daily TV Guide, TV Cave–style.
🌙 Streaming Drops You’ll Be Talking About Tomorrow
Available Early Morning (3:00 AM ET)
A Thousand Blows (Hulu)
Season 2 comes out swinging with a full six-episode binge. Mary Carr pulls her crew back together, dragging Hezekiah and Sugar into even bigger, messier trouble. More risk. More chaos. More reasons to say “just one more episode.”
Coldwater (Paramount+)
Andrew Lincoln trades the zombie apocalypse for a very different kind of nightmare. This six-episode stateside premiere follows a stay-at-home dad who moves his family from London to a remote Scottish town after a violent incident upends everything. Quiet setting. Loud consequences.
People We Meet on Vacation (Netflix – Movie Premiere)
Emily Henry fans, this one’s for you. Free-spirited Poppy and tightly wound Alex have spent years taking summer vacations together — and now they’re finally questioning what’s been right in front of them the whole time. Romantic, cozy, and basically designed to wreck your emotions in the best way.
Tehran (Apple TV)
Season 3 kicks off with Tamar completely off the grid. After going rogue, she must rebuild her identity and regain her agency’s trust while navigating a dangerously unstable Tehran. Bonus intrigue: Hugh Laurie joins the cast, because espionage always hits harder with Hugh Laurie involved.
🏈 Prime Time Picks
7:30 PM ET
College Football (ESPN)
Oregon faces off against Indiana in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. High stakes, big plays, and a perfect excuse to cancel your plans.
🎤 Game Shows, Movies & Drag Excellence
8:00 PM ET
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (ABC)
Max Greenfield, D’Arcy Carden, and Timothy Simons spin the wheel for charity. Expect jokes, wrong guesses, and at least one surprisingly intense moment over a vowel.
Friday Night Vibes (TBS)
A double-feature night with Rampage (2018) and The Flash (2023). Big action, bigger effects, and commentary that makes it more fun than a solo rewatch.
RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV)
The queens split into rival “Q-Pop” girl groups for a sing-and-dance showdown. Dove Cameron stops by the judges’ panel, and yes, the runway is absolutely worth staying up for.
🔥 Late-Night Drama & Wild History
9:00 PM ET
Spartacus: House of Ashur (STARZ)
Blood is demanded, alliances are tested, and Ashur tries to charm an enemy to his side. Power plays, betrayals, and very sharp objects — exactly what you want to end the night.
The UnBelievable With Dan Aykroyd (History Channel)
Season 3 wraps up with some of history’s most outrageous weapons. Think trebuchet-launched corpses and pigeon-guided missiles. Yes, that’s real. And yes, Dan Aykroyd is the perfect guide through the madness.
📌 TV Cave Watchlist Tip
If you’re choosing between live TV and streaming tonight, hit the binge releases early and save Drag Race or Spartacus for later. This is a “snacks required, sleep optional” kind of Friday.
Check back tomorrow for more TV news, recaps, and what you should absolutely not miss next.
