The Hunting Wives Scores Early Season 3 Renewal at Netflix

Netflix clearly has no intention of leaving Maple Brook anytime soon. The Hunting Wives has officially been renewed for Season 3, and the news comes before viewers have even gotten their hands on the second season.
The early vote of confidence is a big one for the soapy thriller, especially considering Season 2 does not premiere until November 26. Netflix is already locking in another eight episodes, giving Sophie, Margo and the rest of Maple Brook plenty of time to create even more terrible decisions for our entertainment.
Netflix Is Betting Big on The Hunting Wives
Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on May Cobb's bestselling novel, The Hunting Wives became one of Netflix's breakout dramas after arriving in July 2025. The first season spent five weeks on Netflix's Global Top 10 English-language TV list, climbed as high as No. 2 globally and reached the Top 10 in 40 countries.
The series has also collected more than 35 million views since its debut, which makes Netflix's decision to get Season 3 moving early considerably less surprising. Messy people doing messy things in expensive houses continues to be a pretty reliable television formula.
Cutter is already writing the third season and teased that the world of the series will continue expanding while the stakes get considerably higher. She also promised that whatever happens during Season 2 will leave viewers very ready to find out what comes next. That sounds slightly threatening considering what this show accomplished during its first eight episodes.
Season 2 Arrives This Thanksgiving
Before we get to Season 3, there is still an entire second season waiting to cause problems. The Hunting Wives Season 2 premieres November 26 on Netflix, bringing Brittany Snow and Malin Åkerman back as Sophie and Margo following the chaos of Season 1.
Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, Evan Jonigkeit and George Ferrier are also among the returning cast members. The new season will expand the world with additional characters while continuing the increasingly complicated relationship between Sophie and Margo. Season 2 finds Jed Banks making a run for governor while Deputy Salazar investigates another major case, and something tells us politics entering the picture will not suddenly inspire everyone in Maple Brook to start behaving responsibly.
Maple Brook Isn't Closing Anytime Soon
Renewing The Hunting Wives this far ahead of its next premiere also gives Netflix something increasingly valuable: a drama viewers already know is sticking around. Instead of spending Season 2 wondering whether another cliffhanger might become the end of the story, fans can enjoy the insanity knowing Season 3 is already waiting. Considering this is The Hunting Wives, however, knowing another season exists probably will not make watching Season 2 any less stressful.
The first season of The Hunting Wives is streaming now on Netflix. Season 2 premieres November 26, with Season 3 officially on the way.
