Percy Jackson Season 2 Trailer Splashes Online: Disney’s Sea of Monsters Looks Bigger, Wilder, and Way More Confident

Two people steer a large wooden ship wheel in a dimly lit interior. They look determined, with warm light illuminating their faces.

The gods have spoken, and Percy Jackson is back to reclaim his spot in the modern mythology lineup. Disney just dropped the official Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 trailer, and fans of Camp Half-Blood are already sharpening their celestial bronze swords. Based on Rick Riordan’s The Sea of Monsters, this new chapter promises bigger beasts, deeper stakes, and a major glow-up from its freshman year.

The trailer wastes no time throwing viewers back into the chaos. Camp Half-Blood’s magical borders are crumbling, Grover’s in trouble, and Percy, played again by Walker Scobell, is thrust into another high-stakes quest. This time, the mission takes him into the fabled Sea of Monsters, where he’ll face sirens, cyclopes, and enough mythological mayhem to make even Zeus sweat. We also get our first glimpse at Tyson, Percy’s cyclops half-brother, who’s bound to become both comic relief and emotional anchor in this stormy sequel.

Visually, the show looks like it finally tapped into that sweet Disney Plus money vein. The VFX feel bigger and bolder, the world feels more lived in, and the tone has matured without losing the spark that made the first season such a hit. The creative team clearly listened to fan feedback and upped the ante, giving us a series that feels ready to stand alongside heavyweights like Stranger Things or The Mandalorian.

Season 2 drops December 10, 2025, with a two-episode premiere, and if the trailer is any indication, this is the Percy Jackson adaptation fans have been begging for since 2010. Expect monster battles, heartfelt friendships, and more sass than a satyr in designer sneakers.

If Season 1 was about finding its footing, Season 2 looks ready to sprint full speed across the water. Percy Jackson is officially out of the kiddie pool, and The TV Cave will be right there, popcorn in hand, ready for every divine disaster.
