Prime Video just dropped the first teaser for Invincible Season 4 at New York Comic Con, and instead of exploding heads or intergalactic mayhem, we got… a chill burger date? Welcome back to Invincible, where the calm is somehow more unsettling than the chaos.
The teaser, revealed during Prime Video’s animation panel, places Mark Grayson and Atom Eve in the wreckage of what looks like yet another world-ending battle but instead of fighting, they’re sitting quietly in a Burger Mart booth, trying to have a normal conversation. You know, as normal as it gets when your dad is an alien mass murderer and your own species wants to colonize the galaxy.
No blood, no fists flying, no planetary explosions just some fourth wall breaking, low lighting, and a lot of emotional tension. The subtext? Mark is still reeling from past fights, still processing his identity crisis, and still not done fighting versions of himself literally and metaphorically.
And just when fans thought the teaser might be too subdued for Invincible, the creators threw in a curveball. It was announced that actor Lee Pace will be joining the voice cast as Thragg, the absolute unit of a Viltrumite warlord. If Omni-Man scared you, Thragg is what happens when you take that fear and give it a promotion.
While the teaser didn’t spill any major plot points, it did manage to set the tone for what’s coming. And the tone is clear: this season is going to be emotionally brutal, even if the violence takes a backseat for now. It’s a clever move, tease the fallout before showing the next explosion.
Unfortunately, fans hungry for more will have to wait. The trailer confirmed that Invincible Season 4 is slated for release in March 2026. That’s right, another year and a half of speculation, meme-making, and rewatching Mark get absolutely flattened in every other episode.
What’s notable is that voice work for the season has already wrapped. So even though animation takes time (especially the kind that includes detailed Viltrumite beatdowns), things are moving behind the scenes. Slowly, but moving.
The Invincible team is clearly playing the long game, and based on this teaser, they’re betting that fans will sit tight for a slow burn that pays off hard. This isn’t just another superhero show. It’s trauma in tights, and Season 4 looks ready to twist the knife all over again, starting with a side of fries.
TLDR: No action, no blood, and somehow still one of the most intriguing trailers Prime Video has released. Invincible Season 4 is taking its time, but if the NYCC teaser is any clue, the emotional fallout is just beginning and it’s going to hit harder than a Viltrumite uppercut.
