‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Trailer Drops: Meet the New Cast & the Returning Legends

Let the Southport streets know, we back up! I Know What You Did Last Summer is back for a new generation. The official trailer just dropped and we get a glimpse into a new set of teens that did something so horrible over the summer someone has to unalive them for it.

 

Starring Chase Sui Wonders, Tyriq Withers, Madelyn Cline, Billy Campbell, Jonah Hauer-King, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and returning from the original Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze, Jr., I Know What You Did Last Summer follows five friends who accidentally cause a car accident and attempt to cover it up. They apparently do a horrible job because someone is making them pay for their mistake with their lives.

In the trailer we see one of the teens seek how Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character, Julie James for help and she only has one question, “What did you do last summer?”

 

Ray (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) returns as well demanding action be taken from Billy Campbell’s character who is either Mayor or in charge of the police.

 

“This isn’t the first time there’s been violence like this in Southport.”

The official logline reads, "When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help."


While some of us are over the remakes, there are fans that crave these movies for the nostalgia of it all.
