Emily in Paris Season 6 Is the Final Chapter—And Emily’s Off to Greece for One Last Messy Romance

Netflix is grounding Emily Cooper as season 6 is the final season for Emily in Paris. Goodbye to berets and baffling marketing strategies. In France, for six years, Emily Cooper has broken through the ranks of a fashionable French hospitality industry with optimism and costume choices of dubious taste. Now, the streaming giant is preparing to pack her suitcases for good.

Production has officially begun, shifting the action away from the streets of Paris toward the sunny Greek beaches. It marks the start of the end for one of TV's most rewardingly exhausting hate-watches. The news of the end of Emily in Paris arrives at the very moment cameras begin rolling on new episodes. In classic Emily style, the production budget is being blown on splendid European backdrops. Filming has already begun on location in Mykonos, Greece, and Lily Collins and Lucas Bravo were recently spotted sporting appropriately dramatic outfits.

The farewell tour is also said to take in Monaco for a final send-off before returning to Paris. Darren Star, creator of this pastel-colored juggernaut, guaranteed fans a clean resolution. Star said the next season should conclude Emily’s adventures. Lily Collins even gave a bittersweet video of the set to the fans and said, “Season 6 will be the absolute last chapter.”

Sorting Through the Romantic Rubble

When our beloved American expat last left us, her love life was, as usual, a self-inflicted disaster. Season 5 ended suddenly, when Emily dumped her Italian billionaire boyfriend Marcello. This conveniently cleared up the runway for Gabriel to swoop back in. Gabriel sent a note to Emily at the close of the season asking her to join him on a yacht in Greece where he's working as a private chef. Season 6 begins right at this port of call. But after all the pilot questions it appears the series has finally got at last to address the eternal "will-they-won't-they" question. Will Emily and Gabriel really be able to stand as a normal couple at all, or will a new European man with an accent break all that harmony?

Meanwhile, Emily's best friend Mindy is at a story dead end. Although engaged to Nico, Mindy has admitted to still holding a torch for her ex, Alfie. No one in this universe appears to be able to make a clean break.

The Legacy of TV’s Favorite Hate-Watch.

While it can be argued that if you love the couture or watch it out of shame, the commercial impact of the show is undeniable. The show has consistently made its way onto the Netflix Global Top 10, topping in over 90 countries. It has garnered more than 250 million viewers globally and it's apparent that people can't overlook Emily's financial success or flops in love. The stakes have never been this high for Agence Grateau as the show prepares to take its final bow in late 2026. Hopefully Sylvie finally can enjoy a break from Emily’s glee.
