If your TV queue wasn’t already overloaded, Apple TV just gave you another reason to add to it. The streamer has released the trailer for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, a new dramedy starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, and Nick Offerman which, let’s be honest, is already a pretty compelling reason to hit play.
Based on the bestselling novel by Rufi Thorpe, the eight-episode series comes from TV heavy-hitter David E. Kelley and indie powerhouse A24. Margo’s Got Money Troubles premieres globally on April 15, 2026, with three episodes dropping at launch and new installments arriving weekly through May 20.
The series centers on Margo (Fanning), a recent college dropout and aspiring writer who suddenly finds herself juggling a newborn baby, a mountain of bills, and… not a lot of great ways to pay them. Her family background isn’t exactly conventional either: her mom (Pfeiffer) is a former Hooters waitress, while her dad (Offerman) is an ex-pro wrestler. Because obviously the best person to help you navigate adult responsibilities is a retired wrestler, right?
Things get messy, chaotic, and occasionally hilarious as Margo tries to keep her life afloat while figuring out how to survive and maybe even thrive in circumstances she definitely didn’t plan for.
The ensemble cast is just as impressive, with Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington rounding things out.
Behind the camera, Kelley serves as showrunner and writer while also executive producing alongside Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Brittany Kahan Ward, Kidman, Per Saari, and Matthew Tinker. Pfeiffer, Thorpe, Eva Anderson, and Boo Killebrew also executive produce.
The pilot is directed by Dearbhla Walsh, with additional episodes helmed by Kate Herron and Alice Seabright. The project also marks another collaboration between Kelley and Apple TV following the Emmy-nominated legal drama Presumed Innocent, which is currently gearing up for its second season.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles premieres April 15 on Apple TV.
