An avid reader and lover of cinema, she thrives on mind-bending movies, independent films, science fiction, and thrillers with rom-coms thrown in. Her literary influences include Nikki Giovanni, Octavia Butler, and Toni Morrison, while her favorite films, “Mo' Better Blues” and “Love Jones,” are tied for first place. As a mother of one, Jaz is now an empty nester, dedicating herself to the long-anticipated goal of publishing her first novel and her Podcast, Coffee or Tea.
